As a self-professed spirit junkie, I've read dozens of books on 'the other side (Van Praag, Edwards, Anderson, and Williams, Virtue to list a few). I am a big fan of Teresa's show. However, I was a bit scared that this book was going to be a rehashing of the show's content. I was hoping for something deeper, and I was very pleasantly surprised when I finished the book. TC does a great job of covering the various "behind the scenes" segments on how she communicates with the other side. She also delves into what she believes happens to us when we cross over, as well as a general structure of heaven. She goes over Life Lessons, angels, spirit guides and reincarnation in a way that the sprit novice could understand. She goes over why she believes we're here on earth, and also explains how we can also communicate with spirit. (Not to say that we will be at her level, because she feels mediumship is genetic). I love her even more after reading her book. Unlike some authors I've read on the topic, her humbleness really comes through. I really hope that her mainstream appeal will help open the door for more people to embrace spirituality. Five stars all the way.Ready to take the red pill? Do I believe in Caputo's abilities? Well, I'll just say I think she's got the perfect look for today's reality TV shows, which have little to do with reality. But I'm open to believing that her mediumship abilities are the real deal. Even if they're not, Caputo appears to write from the heart (or her "ghost"writer does), and this was an entertaining book to read. I cruised through it quite quickly and was left thinking I'd like to read more books from her. As a grieving widow, I am constantly searching for reasons to believe that there is more to life than this pain and loss. Books like this give me reason to hope... and allow me to fill a few evenings reading something that is well-written and holds my interest.

This is an awesome book!I lost both parents within five months of each other. Being an only child, this presented a very difficult time in life for me. My husband and two adult children were concerned, where the grief was getting worse. I had so many wonderful memories, but seemed to bring about the sad, wish were better situations, to mind.Reading Teresa's book just made sense and brought certain incidents to light.....the special music, the flashing lights and certain scents.Thank You!

A breath of fresh air!I'm an avid reader. I love a good page-turner of a book and I like a well written story with engaging dialogue that grabs the reader and keeps them in the clutches of the story.This book is not one of those, HOWEVER ... It's a refreshing read.Teresa is a no nonsense writer that speaks from the heart and tells what she knows and experiences. She does not mince words, she does not try to interject a creative word to describe what she's really trying to say but rather ... she shoots from the hip and delivers a message that is easily identifiable and real.While she possesses a gift that perhaps we all wish we had, she takes her gift very seriously. She's honest, compassionate and sympathetic to those who want to reach to a place that they have not found a way to do on their own, and with each reading that she conducts, she leaves herself open to receive teaching moments for herself that she is able to share with all of us. I learned a lot from this book ... ALOT about Spirit and how Spirit communicates. While I may not have the gift of clairvoyance, I understand through Teresa's teachings that Spirit does reach out to me and if I'm willing and open, I too can receive messages from the other side. I've been inspired to continue my path of developing my own skills as an Intuitive. It's a gift and one that I received wonderful encouragement from Teresa to keep walking my path.This book is for those who want to know more about their loved ones who have passed on and, it's for those who are on their own spiritual journey of discovering what Spirit is all about and how Spirit speaks to each of us. Read and learn. I guarantee you will be able to take something away from this book and transform your life.

I began watching Long Island Medium when a friend mentioned the show to me. I m skeptical of people who claim to be gifted because I have a very close friend that is. But after watching Theresa I was hooked. She's the real deal in my opinion.If you love her show you'll love this book even more.Theresa may mention something that happened on the show but the main portion of the book is composed of things you don't see on the air. She gives the reader an opportunity to get into her mind and understand how she feels when she receives messages and signs. Not only that, she shares her own fears, confusion, frustration and happiness.This book is filled so full of Theresa's bubbly personality that you can practically hear her voice in your ear. (Or wait a minute...maybe that was....??)For anyone who loves the show, this is a must!For anyone whose ever had a psychic experience or an unexplained feeling, this too is for you.But it is mostly for those who are skeptical and those who believe for a second that what this woman does isn't a gift from God that I say...read this.Theresa Caputo never claims to be anything but a Long Island wife and mother with a gift that even she doesn't understand sometimes. But everything she says and does is with love and compassion. She doesn't judge, she doesn't preach. She doesn't advise or brag. She delivers messages from God and loved ones. There is never a boastful or negative thought involved.She has made this reader a believer in everlasting love and life and has taught me without a shadow of doubt that Spirit and my loved ones are with me always.Thank you for this beautiful book.
