Product Description EKHO Heart Rate Monitors can be purchased individually and in 20 or 30 class packs. Class packs include transmitters, elastic straps and an aluminum lockable storage case. .com The WM in the WM-25 stands for weight management, telling you all you need to know about the Ekho WM-25 heart rate monitor watch. Unique to Ekho heart rate monitors, the unit's weight management feature lets you enter how many calories you want to burn during the day. Then, as you work, walk, exercise, and play, the watch tells you how many calories you've scorched on your way to your goal. It's a terrific way to keep fit, and it makes sure that you don't overlook your daily activities as important allies in your weight loss plans. Plus, it's designed to interface with the heart-rate-interactive equipment in most health clubs, adding even more versatility to the mix. In addition to its weight loss functions, the WM-25 tracks your current, average, and maximum heart rate, while also offering a target alarm that lets you know whether you're working in, above, or below your target heart rate zone. As a result, you'll maximize your caloric burn and enjoy the most effective cardiovascular workout available. Other features include time and date functions, a stopwatch, an audible "alarm off" mode, and an ultra-slim ergonomic chest belt transmitter. The water-resistant WM-25 carries a five-year warranty.

The WM25 does it all
I bought this monitor for my wife because I already own and use one. I looked at a bunch of monitors before making this purchase, but there's nothing out there that comes close to doing what this monitor does. The programming of the watch can be daunting, but you'll get through it. You are going to want to keep the manual for the monitor in a safe place so that you can refer to it later. The "WM" stands for "Weight Management". You program in your age, weight, and heart rate exercise range (see the manual). The monitor then tracks the amount of time you spend within, over, and under your heart beat range. It reports your maximum and average heart rate. Finally, it tells you how many calories you burned. You can also use the calorie tracking mechanism to track the relationship between how many calories you need to consume during the day with your daily activities to maintain or reach a weight. So, for example, if you determine that you are going to consume 2,000 calories per day (ask your doctor what they think this number should be) to maintain your present weight (or reach your goal weight) you can program that value into the monitor. Then you wear the monitor throughout your day. It will keep track of how many calories you burned that day. At the end of the day, let's say the monitor says you burned 1,500 calories during the day and you ate 2,000 calories worth of food. This means you either have to add activity to your day (walk another flight of stairs?) to get to 2,000 calories or you need to reduce your consumption of calories. A neat little tool for conducting weight experiments and to meet your personal goals. This is a great, all around heart rate monitor. It's well thought out, comfortable to wear, and it works.

Ekho Heart Rate Monitor (Not WM-25, actually FiT28)
Let me start with a review of the order process.I placed the order on Amazon, as usual. The supplier Medical Department Stores charged my credit card and I was sent a confirmation email from both Amazon and the supplier. The email from Amazon had my order ID#. The supplier email had a carrier tracking number and estimated delivery date, but there was no link to click on to actually track the progress of the delivery. The delivery date deadline came and went. I called the supplier, talked with a rep who said they'd call me back but never did. Three days later, I called again. This time the rep took my information and got on the phone with Ekho only to find out they'd lost the order! At that point, Ekho reissued the order, but instead of giving me the product I ordered, they sent me the top of the line Ekho, the FiT28, for no additional charge.I have no complaints getting the best product they have, my only complaint is that it took so long. If I'd had a way to track it sooner, the wait could have been avoided. In terms of the product itself, the FiT28 has been a great heart rate monitor. It's far better than the Polar F4 that I used to have. It gives a more accurate, constant track of your heart rate than the Polar. It also has many more functions than the F4. It has an Alarm (which I don't need and probably will never use). A Timer function that provides a warm up time, workout time and cool-down time -- all of which are customizable. It also has a Chronograph (stopwatch) that allows you to simply track how long you workout (instead of predefining your workout time as with the Timer). In either Timer or Chrono mode, your heart rate (average and max), calories and fat burned are tracked. It also has a Key Lock, which is handy in case any of the buttons get accidentally pressed when you don't mean to press them. It also has a light and is waterproof. My only complaints are that it's difficult to determine how to turn off the Chrono and see all the information tracked after the fact. It's also hard to go back and see later what your last workout tracking information is.All-in-all, despite the shipping snafu, I'm quite satisfied with the product. And getting it for a fraction of the retail price from the Ekho site doesn't hurt either.

Worked great at first, now, not so much...
It worked great for the first two weeks. Now it's all wonky, it won't give a reading, or it's way too high, or way too low, or it doesn't pick up a reading at all. (And no, it's not malfunctioning because of wireless/electronic interference). By the time I get done sending it to the plant for service, paying for service (and possibly a new battery?), I could have 4-5 new sets of store-bought batteries. I wish it had a "low battery" indicator like the Polar brand, I didn't realize it might be that important. I might just send the whole mess back to Amazon and try a different brand. I'm really disappointed because up until today it worked exactly as advertised.

Good Buy
This was bought as a present for my wife. She had just started an exercise program. She used it constantly and it provided great results and stood up to wear and tear. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to keep an eye on heart rate as they workout or even during the day.

LOVE THESE
I love these heart rate monitors. This is the 3rd one I've purchased - one for myself, husband, and best friend. Good quality at a good price.

Very Uncomfortable
Ekho WM-25 Heart Rate Monitor Watch This Ekho WM-25 Heart Rate Monitor Watch was very uncomfortable. First, the chest strap was very constricting to the point that it was hard for me to breathe and I was not even exercising yet. Second, the rubber monitor gave me a rash on my chest, even after only having it on for maybe 10 minutes. Finally, I bought one at the same time for my wife and the watch itself was big and bulky on her; guess they are not meant to be unisex. Therefore, we no longer are owners of this product and returned them to Amazon.

Great product, messy shipping
Product was great and easy to use, but the shipping envelope it came in was beat up, as was the box and the plastic holder of the heart rate monitor. It was almost embarrassing to give as a gift.

Perfect Monitor for Everything You Need
I bought the Ekho WM-25 monitor after returning the Omron HR-100C. The Omron would be very inconsistent in keeping heart rate and would lose the signal during excercise. The Ekho has been great. It is easy to use and has some good features including easy to read heart rate, max and average rate and calorie targets (but nothing crazy like the high end Polar monitors). I would highly recommend this monitor. I bought mine on Amazon for about $40.
