it was a quality item and exactly what it was suppose to be

Only lasted me a month
I bought ir 4 months ago, and I installed it 3 months later. Because I’m restoring my truck, and it only lasted me a month, the plastic ripped. This product is of bad quality.

tore just like the old one
within a few shifts, I can see the boot beginning to tear in the same places old boot tore -- oh well its a 1969 Ford mustang - cant buy from a dealer

Hurst is one of the best, tried and true for MANY years. Had Hurst products in my 68 Camaro, and even back in 1968, Hurst was well-known. Now use Hurst in my tricked out '73 Chevy.Past experience though has shown me that the rubber boot tends to stiffen and crack after a few years. But I still go back for more.

hurst shift boot
rubber shift boot just happened to be exact replica of $10 boot from O'reilly auto parts. plate had same holes as el'cheapo from O'reilly. What a coincidence ? Both are made in china.I would prefer to pay more for a made in USA part. I think the quality would be much better. I have not figured out how to find that made in USA part? The hurst shifter boot is OK but not as high quality as I want. I will have to keep looking for a better shift boot and consider the hurst boot a temporary solution.

Stiff boot
I found the rubber boot to be very stiff. I ended up using my old boot with the new trim ring.
