worth every penny
I am so happy to have found this doggie bath. I have really bad knees and kneeling tubside was very painful when it came to bathing my dogs. I just bought a house that has a hole in the laundry room that was for a utility sink so I just put the other end of the tub hose into it. The only thing that happened the first time I used it was the water wouldn't drain. So I found small short footstools the same color of the tub and set them under each leg. Worked like a charm. It drains well and both my dachshunds are comfortable in the tub at bathtime. I'm glad my laundry room had a place for the utility sink in the garage because my dogs don't hae to worry about extreme temperatures form being bathed in the garage or outdoors. The convenience of this tub and the ease it is to stand right there to bathe my dogs is a big relief. I know longer have to struggle to get up from the floor or feel the horrid knee pain from kneeling for so long. This tub really is a God send. I also ordered the doogie bath spout but by the time it arrived my daddy had elongated other hoses and put the same type of spout on it so it is still in the box. I'll just save it as a backup in case my other spout cracks or leaks water.UPDATE: Since owning this tub, I will say the tub is still in great condition and doing exactly what it's supposed to do; however, the hose is an entirely different story. The hose has broken several times making itself shorter, which is not a problem. I still had enough hose, but today while wetting down my dog, I noticed water spurting out of the hose in several places. I have two dachshunds that decided playing in the mud was the thing to do so I had to bathe them both which of course left my laundery room floor flooded. I have a huge mess to clean and am now looking for a new hose for a replacement as I do not wish to replace the tub. Is the company reading this review to tell me where to get a new hose?

A Great Buy
I purchased this tub because it is elevated and would eliminate the bending over the tub to bathe my girls. I have a miniature poodle and a toy dachshund. Although I have access to hot and cold water outside I prefer to bathe them in the house so I put the open end in the tub. I am 5'6" and the tub still needs to be about 6" higher for me. I have 2 blown discs in lower back so need to prevent bending over as much as possible. The tub is sturdy, extremely easy to assemble and disassemble (I store it in the box in the garage) and would accommodate 50 lbs. I think, but the dog could not be very long. The poodle is classed as a "large" miniature meaning she is 14" tall and 16" or so long and she just fits so it is definitely designed for medium sized dogs. Oh, we did have to put a brick under each leg in the back so it did not slant while in use and let water build up. It drains great and the shampoo holder is great, no more looking for the bottle in the bathtub. Although the girls won't jump out of the tub I intend to use the restraint provided and now have to get accustom to using. I recommend this for anyone especially those of us unfortunate ones with back problems. Well worth the money!

Paws for Thought Booster Bath, Medium
Really like this bath! Made my life a lot easier bathing my Yorkies. I no longer have to bend over into the tub, or use the basement sink to bathe my six babies. I "straddle" the unit in my bathtub with a nylon hose rubber banded onto the end of the hose (to catch any hair) and place the end close to the drain. My shower head pulls down into the tub. The no slip surface inside the tub, and the handy soap holder are two nice details. The only thing needing improvement is the height of this pet bath. It could be a bit taller. I am 5' 8 and I still have to bend into a position that is tiring when bathing all six dogs at the same time. I personally would of liked the unit to have longer legs. However, all in all the tub is a great purchase. I leave it assembled in a spare room, but would easily tear down and store nicely in original box till your ready to use it. No more broken backs, dogs jumping out of bath or sliding all over in massive tub. Ahhh, life is good =) Would I buy this unit again? Oh yes, in a heartbeat!

Medium is only for SMALL dogs, HOSE falls off
This review is for the medium. I'd give this more stars if a) the hose would stay on (it doesn't) and b) it wasn't recommended for the size of dogs it is. It says up to 75 lbs. My dog is 30 lbs and the bath is too small and too short. NOT small enough that the whole thing can stand in the tub where the hose popping off would not be a problem, but too small for a 30 lb corgi (and it isn't the length, it is the height, so I can't imagine it with a 70 lb Lab.) It might not collapse under the weight, but you might as well get in the tub with the dog if so little of its height fits in the bath.A problem with any size dog, unless you use this outside, is the hose having no positive attachment to keep it from popping off. I don't know if mine was defective or they all are but the seller (The Outlet-Pet, Marketplace) refused to back up the product. Questions above indicate others had the problem but I didn't read those first- guess I should have. But I shouldn't have to buy a hose clamp to keep it on and not sure one would work anyway, with the hard plastic fitting.I've seen the larger booster baths and they seemed fine (though I'm not sure about the hose) but this one is only good for a 10-15 lb small dog. Maybe a 20 lb corgi. It was pretty easy to put together and seems fairly stable.

Description for sizing off.
If I was rating the discription, I 'd have given it a "1" but the product itself is nice- please read on. We have a Tibetan Terrier and this bucket was WAY too small for her. She is a furry little thing at 27lbs 15in at the withers. As soon as we realized it, we started making arrangements to send it back. The small co pansy was responsive. The killer was the return shipping...over $75.00 at the local UPS. I really make an effort to buy Prime but in this case, the description seemed to be the right size so I trusted it and moved forward with the order. If you decide to get this "medium" sized tub check out the dimensions carefully. I think if you allow about four inches all around your dog, you may be fine.
