Philips Master LED 6 W (40 W) E27 Edison Screw, Candle, Warm White, Dim Tone, Clear - Pack of 40 [Energy Class A+]

As 40w equivalent LED bulbs go, I know this will last, and I know it's good quality. It's made by Philips. However the number of Lumens that are projected from the opaque glass dome of my fairly flush to the ceiling hallway light fitting are only just sufficient for what is already a very small hallway. It's also the most 'yellowy' light I have ever seen from any LED bulb. I have 100w equivalent Philips warm white B22's elsewhere and they seem to be four times brighter, and two shades lighter. Might be better in a clear glass fitting than the results I am seeing.

I tried various LED bulbs that were meant to mimic the behaviour of incandescent bulbs which soften in tone when dimmed.Some didn't work at all and others (the LED strand type) were far too yellow.These get it just about right in my view. Used in rooms with multiple wall-lamps.Used with Varilight 'V-Pro' dimmers.

Very good shopping experience with just the right amount of detail so I could ensure I was buying the correct lamp for my fitting.

I am so through with generic junk

I’m knocking off 4 stars on these, as when you set them to the dimmest setting. They begin to flicker. This is not normal and may pose some electrical risk.

40W of these is like an old 60W incandescent bulb - very bright!
