No Touching At All (Yaoi) Paperback – February 8, 2011

Oh man, I love this manga. It took me several times of reading through it to understand it all, though. It's not a problem with the story (which is GREAT) or the characters (who are all fantastic) or even really the translations. (which are good enough) It's the resolution. There are some parts of this manga I can't read at all because it's too blurry. *sadface* OH- if you're wanting to know, there IS sex, although it's not very graphic. No rape, or triggers either.

What I can I say? Amazon needs to get all of Yoneda Kou's work for Kindle.Did I say she's one of my favorite manga-kas? She is.Reading her makes me happy. Whichever manga I choose, even the darker ones.Her work feels real somehow (a bit odd on the translation side sometimes, but hey better than me trying to learn Japanese ;) The angst, the love...I read somewhere that she practically draws the same character over and over and changes the dialogue. And I couldn't care less either. Also I don't think that's true. They all look alike? Maybe, she has a style, but they are all different cause their personalities and quirks and whatever are different.She just rocks.This manga was no different. Characters with a past more in the dark side of life, who just try to go on living. Be happy even.Painfully shy, sweet, cry-baby Shima-chan and outgoing, fun, smelly, sweet Towaga...Adorable ;)Enjoy!

I bought this one after reading the second one "Even so, I will love you tenderly". They don't really go in order, they are two different stories.I bought the kindle edition of this book. The story was good but the translations were a little off. There were a few places where I had to re-read it and it still didn't quite make sense. Overall, it's very well done and I really like the pace of the story. I wish it was longer, in general, to flush out the characters more but it's solid.As far as it being Yaoi, the sex scenes are fairly tame compared to most and are consensual which is also really nice. There is no Seme forcing the Uke to submit. It's two people who are mutually attracted to each other.

One of the other reviewers said exactly what I was thinking. I can't add to that. This is a five star book.Beautiful art, where you can see the elegant curves of the body. She draws like a Japanese artist, no wasted space, just enough strokes of the pen.The boys are both suffering from their pasts. They find comfort in each others arms. Can they move on together? Or will they fall apart? You don't know until you read "Weekend". The short story after the main story wraps things up nicely and you get a glimpse of their future. It's a sweet story.There is a funny short story about Onoda that I didn't understand until the sequel to this book came out. The sequel is about Onoda and his friend from TAG. We also learn more about Shima's past. Hopefully the paperback version will be available soon.The book ends with a short tale about Togawa's past that is just confusing but we have a sweet moment with the main couple.All together the book is lovely to look at and the characters are well fleshed out.

A much sought after title, originally published in in 2010, the English edition of No Touching At All has been notoriously hard to find and expensive until 2016 when it was reprinted and again for 2019. However, Juné began using a Print-on-Demand method for reprints. So not only is the paper different affecting the thickness and color but, No Touching At All suffers from printing glitches resulting in noticeable banding on the pages. The reprint is shameful when compared to other copies. If you’re looking to read No Touching At All in English I recommend saving your money and purchasing the eBook (the publisher’s website also sells it DRM-free in a variety of formats), though quality again isn't top notch. It’s disgraceful the North American publisher feels it is appropriate and can get away with presenting any artist’s work this way. It’s on the poor quality of the English edition for which I lowered my rating.

Another wonderful work by Yoneda Kou, who is one of the very best in the yaoi field! The digital version is a bargain, as the book has been long out of print. I read this on my tablet, where the 2-page-at-a-time format was crisp, clear, and comfortable to read. The effect was so good that a few times I reached to 'turn the page' and realized I wasn't holding the book. YMMV depending on your device, and I can't see how this could be read on a phone or smaller screen. Make an informed choice--many Amazon graphic novels let you download a sample first, so give it a try.And enjoy a top quality manga!

No Touching At All by Kou Yoneda is definitely worth "touching".The story is deeper than your typical yaoi manga and the characters seem very life like.Shima, the uke in our couple, is quiet, sassy, emotionally insecure, and has a straightforward way of talking. Togawa, our seme, is quite the opposite. He is laid back, honest, kind, and openhearted. Watching the two together makes you feel like they really understand one another and that they'll be ok in the future. I like this story because it dives into the characters motives and that makes their current personalities apparent. Their relationship looks like its based on sex but when you read the dialogue you discover to people trying to understand how to openly love the other through their flaws.Great read. Definitely buy it

3.5 🌟I think Yoneda Kou is in my personal top 3 yaoi artists. What I truly love about her stories is that she doesn’t care and make you suffer like you deserve it.This manga is definitely not my favorite, but has some of her quirks that I love: imperfect characters, everyday situations in borderline boring settings, a good dose of trauma, the fact that she doesn’t rely on sex to support a non existing plot and some little sweet moments.THE PRICE THO. The kindle version is kinda expensive, especially because the quality of the image is not that good.

英語でのレビューはたくさんあるのですが、Amazon日本からのレビューが一つもないからなのか、「レビューはまだありません」になっているので、書きます。　ヨネダコウ先生の作品は、どれもかなり良いです。もちろん、日本語で読んでもいいです。英語で読んでも、ぐっと来ます。　が、英語の訳が結構気になるところがあるので、★４つに。ヨネダコウ先生の作品は、言葉の間や順序が登場人物の気持ちの揺れや決断を鮮やかに描き出していると思うのですが、日本語の文法と英語の文法は並びが違ううえに日本語は会話では主語を略すのが通常なので、その吹き出しだけをそのまま訳すとなんとなくおかしいことになると思うのです。　戸川が頑なな嶋に「お前が」と言った後にページが変わるところがあるのですが（ネタばれするので、どこかは言いませんが）、ここは主語は「お前（嶋）」じゃなくて、「戸川」なので、「you are----」と訳すとおかしいのですが、「you are----」になっているのです。。。ここで「I am---」でも後ろがおかしくなるので、それも無いのですが。「you---」しか無いように思いますが。。。Nightsの訳者さんは素晴らしいと思ったのですが。痺れる翻訳で読みたいです。今後のヨネダコウ先生の翻訳版に期待。

It's an ok book, but I read it once and don't know if I'll read it another time soon. It's not bad, but there is a little something missing.

Tout d'abord ce manga est en anglais, donc si vous n'êtes pas biligue passez votre chemin. Le style de la mangaka est très agréable, et l'histoire d'amour au bureau est assez bien faite. Un peu cliché mais on s'y laisse prendre. Les scènes de sexe sont essentiellement suggestive mais vraiment bien faite.En revanche il y a UN TRES GROS POINT NOIR. Ce manga est INCROYABLEMENT difficile à lire sur kindle, le texte est vraiment miniscule et certaines phrase en gris clair et encore plus petites sont totalement indéchiffrable.Il faut vraiment avoir une très bonne vue, ou peut être une grosse loupe. Comme il s'agit de scans de dessins, la fonction changement de taille de caractères ne marche pas. J'espère que l'éditeur songera a sortir une vraie version kindle avec des polices beaucoup plus grosses.

I bought this yaoi manga somewhat on a whim. What drew me admittedly was the HOT cover hehe ^^What I got was so much more, the sweet and tender storyline was subtle and the sex was far from overplayed. Instead it focuses on the emotional development of the characters.I felt the sting of remorse and the warmth of love along with the characters and for that I give it 5 stars. What more can anyone ask for?
