Fox Hunt: Decodable Chapter Book for Kids with Dyslexia (The Kents' Quest)

What an awesome decodable chapter book!! Loved it! Perfect for older struggling readers because it has the right “look”! 5 stars!!!

This was a great decidable book. We could watch out soon build confidence in reading over the course of the book going from struggling to finish a page by himself to reading almost a full chapter at night. Fun story, great for a new reader!

My daughter is in fourth grade and has dyslexia. Her reading level is limited and we are often stuck reading short books that she feels are babyish and that she’s embarrassed to bring to class and don’t hold her attention. This book was a miracle! For the first time ever, she began reading a chapter book that used language she could decode. She read out loud proudly for twenty minutes straight for the first time in her life without any assistance. Her self esteem soared and she loves being able to read without help from me or a teacher. Her little brother also loves reading this book and I would highly recommended it!

My child at 8.5yo has always been a reluctant reader and was a bit of a "late bloomer" when compared to same age peers/typical American reading standards. However after using an Orton Gillingham program combined with decodable readers, she has been blooming into a confident reader. These decodable chapter books have been such a success for her to dive into more complicated books rather than basic decodable books like Bob books. I highly recommend this line of books for anyone who needs a large font, more spacing, and actual DECODABLE (not leveled) readers.

I bought these for my dyslexic daughter. She was really struggling with feeling confident reading chapter books. She would ask me about lots of words and still preferred mexreading out loud to her, which I was more than happy to do. However, I wanted her to have the joy of reading, even when I couldn't be there. I got these books and she really took off in confidence and ability. After reading a few by this author, she branched out to many more, although we still love our read-aloud time.

Our 9 year old daughter has dyslexia and struggles with reading. It took a couple of days, but she read this entire book by herself. She was so proud! We quickly bought the next book and she loved it just as much. We were all set to purchase the entire collection of books when we saw Simple Words was having a kickstarter for another book. We pledged enough to get 8 books. If the kickstarter falls through we'll just order the rest of the books here as we're going to get them one way or another.She's only read two of their books so far, but I can recommend them enough!

My 2nd grader has been struggling to read and discouraged. This book has been great for her to get self confidence and spark an interest for reading!!

This is a great book for anyone wanting to practice their reading skills in a fully decodable chapter book. Complements structured, explicit, phonics reading instruction.
