For the money that get for these you would expect weather pack connections. I did not expect to have to put a hour worth of work and money for new connections. But after it was all said and done they look nice and I will not blow out bulbs while off road so only 3 stars because of poor design in the wire harness.

Swapped the stock red tail light assemblies for these and I'm not disappointed at all. The LEDs provide great light output compared to the stock bulbs. Super easy to install, as well. Just lower the tailgate and remove the two T15 screws holding the assembly, unclip the stock wiring harness, plug in the new one, and secure it back in the housing with the two T15 screws. Rinse and repeat for the other side.The only problem I ran into was getting the stock wiring harness to unclip, but it wasn't anything terribly difficult. I would recommend a light coat of dielectric grease or silicon on the connectors, just to insure against water intrusion. Looks pretty sweet though.EDIT: Alrighty, so here's the bad news with these parts. After about a year and a half of use with absolutely no problems, both left and right side resistors have failed. This is causing the left and right turn signal indicators to hyperflash as well as throwing a service error on the dashboard. The main issue with this is that the parts are only warrantied for a year from Akkon, so if they fail you will not be getting a replacement. Not only will you not receive a replacement (unless you are willing to part with $300 bucks again) but any correspondence with Akkon will be ignored. Caveat emptor, folks.On the other hand if you are ok with the hyperflash and if it doesn't really matter that the product is made to last a year and change, then by all means go for it. They're still very good looking aftermarket tail lights, and that counts for something, but it's not enough to keep these at 5 stars for me. Functionality is key, and if I'm paying $300 for this product then I expect it to function for longer than these have.

I have gotten so many compliments on these taillights. Super easy install. Took about fifteen minutes to put them on. The hardest part was unplugging the old ones!! Lol!!

The 2 screws inside the tailgate area lined up properly. The other 2 tabs that push back into holes in the fender did not. I ended up removing the bottom one to make them fit. Not ideal but it worked.

Take the time to put silicone on all the connections and dielectric grease and you will have no issues . all of the bad reviews are water related I followed a great video on YouTube from horsepower obsessed and did exactly what they said and I have no issues so farUpdate 5/22 after 8 months one of the load resistors is starting to act up resulting in hyper flash Akkon is absolutely no help in getting me to the source of their load resistors, so I could fix the issue. Be assured if you have any problems you might as well throw them in the trash!

These were very easy to install. Just a couple of screws and a plug and they were installed. They make a big difference from the stock taillights and add a sporty look to go with the same brand headlamps.

It's a real shame to give this product a one star review. They are so nice, and really make your truck stand out and look amazing. However, despite sealing all of the electrical lines with silicone, I am just another victim of this product. Water somehow finds it's way inside, and everything just goes to hell after that. Every time I would push on my brake pedal, my backup camera would activate. What's more, there were even times when I would be driving down the road, and my back up camera would activate and stay on for the duration of the trip. As soon as I uninstalled them and replaced my stock tail lights, the problem stopped. So it was definitely these taillights causing the issue. Again, it's a very common issue, and a lot of other people have reported the same problem. Stay away from this item and don't waste your money. It's worth noting that the problem started a few months after purchase, so when I contacted the manufacturer for an exchange, they said that I was beyond the warranty period, and they could not help. Amazon would not accept a return either at that point.

When I got them they were exactly what I was looking for. Made my truck look really sharp the problem is that they only lasted 5 months. After a snow storm with the salt on the road it ate away at the wiring for the taillights. Its a poor set-up on the wiring being exposed. My backup lights are now on all the time luckily enough I saved my old taillights so I had something to put back on my truck. I wouldn't recommend these to anyone
