This is much more powerful than I was expecting, but very cool. It is probably too strong for use as an indoor laser pointer. In my office, you can see the beam, but the spot on the wall is bright enough to be uncomfortable.

These are amazingly powerful, and rugged construction. Looking forward to using it outside at night. I'm not sure what good the refraction cap is, but it makes interesting patterns.

I use a laser to identify potential routes through wooded areas that will require the least tree cutting. it’s a pretty cool gadget. Gave mine away.

I was recently hired as a Process Operator in an petroleum refinery and one of the things we need to do on a daily basis is trace lines - piping between process equipment. There are tons of pipes and pointing them out to others is a pain without a laser. Employer provided us crappy ones that you’d never see during the day and hardly at night. Let’s just say... with this bad boy, I have no problem pointing something out across the refinery lol.About the headline: there’s a cap included that, when attached, turns the laser into a kaleidoscope. It’s really cool, especially at night and pointed at trees. The only problem I had was removing the darn thing. After you screw it on, it’s meant to spin without screwing or unscrewing. Anyway, I ended up getting it removed but not without a fight. Don’t bother putting the cap on unless you want to have a toy or can figure out how to more easily remove it.

I needed a way to transfer the height of one end of my Amateur Radio antenna, the property slopes down from one end so I could have used a water level but due to the distance it was simply too much trouble when I could used a laser and do it faster and just as accurate.The shipping was quick, well packaged and it includes the charger, a set of keys to prevent unintended use by kids or someone that does not know how to safely handle the laser.One tip I will make is the orientation of the battery is reverse of typical flashlights etc. In other words the Positive end will be facing you when you drop it into the laser. No issues great product!

This laser pen is awesome! It comes with a rechargeable battery and charger, it includes a beam diffuser to create patterns or dots. There is a focus adjustment to create a 3 inch wide beam from the pen.The focused beam is so bright that when pointed at a star or planet, it almost changes it color. So, if Saturn turns green at night, your know what did it. Sorry.On a dark night, the beam shines brightly at least 2-5 miles across the valley. It will light up a room green when shined into a neighbors window. Have fun with the house on the hill. If a room turns green at 11 PM, you can guess the culprit. ~-.-~ O.K. Use caution. Maybe don't do what I did. ~-.-~Don't get arrested or get in trouble either. There is a small print warning written on it not to let minors play with it. The same warning should apply to 40ish year olds. It's also illegal to shine it at a police officer, or at planes, vehicles, bug people, etc. It's probably dangerous or something.But, the pen sure is fun. I took it camping and lit up the honeypot outhouse when the kid went in. Hehehe. Walk of shame.Oh, it's too bright to use indoors as a laser pointer. Sorry about that.
