Clean ingredients and great taste
I mix a little into each meal. He loves the taste. The food is soft, high in protein, and a small amount goes a long way. Expensive, but the quality is clear.

This is excellent dog food…..I love, love, love it!!
My Molly Brown will be (3) Nov 5, 2024. She has been extremely picky her whole life!! We have bought her: The Farmers Dog, Spot & Tango, Sundays, Ollie, Num Num, Dr. Marty’s, Purina Pro, Hills Science Diet, Merrick etc. ….you get the idea. Molly Brown ate Kiki Peak! I did add some shredded cheese to encourage her. She would pick through the (other) dog foods to just eat the cheese or crumbled crackers but she really ate the whole bowl of Kiwi!! It is a true brake through for us and Molly Brown!! I am soooo happy I have to pinch myself!! She has ate it (all) for (3) days…..That is incredible!! Yahoooo . Please if you are having trouble with your dog eating…give this a try!!! You will be happy you did!!

OMG! Picky eaters' delight!
Oh My Goodness!!! I ordered this last night and it was delivered early this morning. I opened it up, gave each of my dogs a little taste before putting some in their bowls. When I say, this stuff must taste DELICIOUS I am not being dramatic. I have two fur babies. One will eat pretty much anything. But my other is a picky eater. I was giving them Sundays with their kibble and then the refrigerated food... I would fill their bowls and they would lay on the couch looking at me. They would eventually go and eat the food in their own time. I ran out of Sundays and can't afford to buy more. The price is outrageous and they make you sign up for a subscription. So I went looking for an alternative. I saw this product and got the small bag. I put a scoop of their kibble in their bowls and then a little bit of this food on top. I didn't have time to go get the refrigerated food because they both started chowing down. They cleaned their bowls! I couldn't believe it. I just fed them dinner and the same thing happened. My pups give this food 4 paws up!

Not as fresh or soft as Chewy
It’s just not as fresh as Chewy products. It was harder for my senior dog to chew and she didn’t really want it. When I get the Chewy bags she dives right in.

Great to use for training, but...
I've been using Ziwi Peak off and on for the last two years. At first, I thought I'd use it as my primary dry food, but with two dogs (a Sheltie and a standard sized Aussie), the cost is prohibitive. My dogs love it, though, so I compromise and use it for training. Unfortunately, there's so much that gets crumbled into really small pieces and decimated into dust in the bottom of the bag, that I've spent a *lot* of time picking out the whole pieces from the mess in the bottom third of the bag. If you're using this for training, you have to do this or your bait bag will be nothing but crumbs and dust, and your fingernails and hands will be covered in it (I. HATE. THAT.) The upside to this, for me, anyway, is that I use that wastage as a sprinkle topping for my dog's Kongs and lickimats, and sometimes for their dinners, so none of it goes to waste. The downside, though, is that there's not enough whole pieces in a bag to justify the $20+ price tag for training rewards. I estimate that I consistently can only use about 1/3 of a bag for training. You can dehydrate a lot of chicken for the same price, and without a whole lot of convenience coming with that price tag, what's the point if you then have to spend another hour + of your time sorting kibble from dust? Having pointed all of that out, my dogs do seem to really enjoy this food, so I'm at the point that every once in a while, I break down, buy a bag, and then spend an hour sorting it. I wish they'd make this in a more stable form for training treats (I suspect shipping causes a lot of friction in the bags of food in-transit, which then causes the breakdown?), or even find a way to make the product more economical, because I'd use it as our primary dry food. Overall, it's a quality product, and judging by my dog's affinity for it, they love the taste and would like more. They find it very palatable, and as a primary food source, you can feed less Ziwi Peak than you do traditional kibble as it's (supposedly) a more efficient food. My picky eater prefers this over other options when I have some in my treat pouch, so I try and hold that back for her. While I won't be keeping this on-hand as a staple item for my dogs, I will continue to purchase more (but only when I run out of dust for enrichment items!)

GREAT healthy dog food with NZ green mussels...
This is a very healthy food for dogs!, which includes New Zealand green mussels...super healthy antioxidant, so buy this food even if you use it to only top up the meal, or use as a treat. I add it to her fresh organic food, which does include free range chicken. But I really want the company to do a VEGAN option. Please! I currently also use Earth Animal Vegan air dried food...that's great too. USA Made. I love New Zealand products too!!

They LOVE Ziwi Peak! Especially good for Treats and behavior training.
It may be expensive, but I add it to their Fromm, Honest Kitchen, and FreshPet Vital combo, and also they are superior to use for Treats, especially when training or re-enforcing wanted behaviors.
