Great for Any Home Kitchen!
This product is perfect for any home kitchen. I've been using it for about 4 weeks now and I've sliced up about 5 rounds of meat into perfect lunchmeat slices (I have 3 kids and it is saving me big bucks!), an entire block of cheese and two large salamis. I've sliced vegetables with it as well. Worked like a charm every time!I've seen some of the low-rating comments which state that it does not slice evenly or slices too thickly. When I first started using mine, it did slice a little more thickly at the bottom but a quick adjustment of the guide plate (it is adjustable) fixed that. The whole assembly comes apart in seconds for easy cleaning and the overall thickness for slicing can be adjusted down to almost wafer-thin levels...so I'm not sure what the others are talking about. Nor did I ever smell any electrical burning during any of my uses...but I didn't leave the blade running unless I was actively slicing something. 5 Stars!

This is great. A small pack of ham lunch meat is ...
Update from initial post below. This unit still works well. I still try to buy the best or healthiest ham I can find and cut it up for lunch meat which has, after a full year of using, saved me hundreds of dollars by not buying those expensive trash ham / turkey presliced lunch meats. I take the phillips screw out holding the metal support piece which is easy because it's right on top, which makes it easier for me to wash the unit well. Easy to clean with it on, I just find it faster to take off. This is great. A small pack of ham lunch meat is $7 bucks. I can buy a whole ham, Meijer brand for $17 bucks and cut it up with this and I have over $150 bucks worth of "pre-packaged lunch ham" this works well on anything you want to cut up. Wanted one of these for years but only thought they had commercial cutters until I found this. You can't go wrong with this, great item.

Great product for a great price!
Shipping was pretty fast and the machine was well packaged. I will be using this primarily to cut finished, homemade smoked meat, but it also works pretty well on partially frozen or cooker meat or thicker sliced raw meat. I sliced up some raw whole eye round last weekend when I received it, and it worked great because the meat was still a little frozen. Threw a left over corned beef brisket at it after St. Patty's Day and sliced it deli thin with no problems. It also works great for slicing potatoes for homemade potato chips. You can get them wafer thin. The machine breaks down easily, the blade and the metal cover on the food trolley comes off, then it's just a matter of wiping everything down after use.The only real knock I have is that there's nothing on the back side to catch the food that is sliced. If you go fast it kind of gets everywhere and it's kind of cumbersome to reach around and catch the slices with your hand.

Great and reliable slicer
Bought this product in 2018 and it still works like a champ. Blade is still sharp and has not had any issues. My bf makes beef jerky and slices half frozen meat with this slicer. Definitely recommend!

effortless
I bought this to slice beef roasts for making jerky. I like the roast to be firm when slicing, I just think it's cuts easier and cleaner. So, with making jerky in mind, I put a roast in the freezer to "set up" for a couple hours. Life happened, and 6 hours later I remembered the roast.....oops. Instead of a firm cold roast, I had a completely frozen solid roast. Oh well, lets see what this new machine can do. I wish I hadn't waited so long to buy a new slicer. this thing sliced through the frozen roast easily and cleanly! Clean up was a breeze as well. Remove the blade, the tray, and the pusher and stick em in the dishwasher.. a quick wipe down of the rest, and 2 minutes later I was done.

Motor died
I’ve had this slicer for over two years and I think maybe used it 10 times. Tried slicing some ham today and the motor just died. Frozen very disappointing for a motor to die after such little use. Going to end up in the trash! 🤬

Works great for what we use it for
We buy bulk meats and use this to slice our own steaks, lunch meats, cheese and so on. It works great for those. It was difficult at first to get the blade back on after cleaning, but after a few times of doing it, it has gotten easier. There is a little spot where the blade sits, it's in the big circle where the blade fits towards the side of the machine that faces you. We clean that spot out with a toothbrush. It's hard to get everything out with just a rag there. This thing has been working like a charm since the day we got it, and we enjoy being able to use it. I have a family of five, and we use this thing on a bi weekly basis, depending on the cuts of meat we get for dinner, lunch or breakfast. You can make a pork belly work on this if you are making your own bacon. I love it

Easily slices cooked meats
I've been smoking a lot of meat lately. My wife's favorite dish, pit beef, requires an extremely thin cut, otherwise it is too tough to eat. I couldn't cut thinly and consistently enough for an entire roast, so I decided a meat slicer was in order.I debated between this one and the Chef's choice models, which are at least an extra 30 dollars. I decided this one would be a good starter and we could upgrade later if needed. All of the meat we cut is cooked/warm. We've used it about 4 times so far and it has easily handed them all.The only downside I can think of is that the blade isn't all that sharp. At first I was afraid to handle it while cleaning or reinstalling. I decided to lightly press my finger down against the blade, which didn't do any damage (thankfully). I have a feeling that unless it's spinning, the blade is pretty harmless. On the one hand it does exactly what it is supposed to, but I can imagine it having difficulty slicing slightly frozen meat or hard vegetables. Since this isn't what I purchased it for that's not a big deal, but others might want to consider something else.
