The Hazards of a One Night Stand
Sadly, The Hazards of a One Night Stand did not work for me. This time we're following Juliet's sorority sister, Mallory. She's back in her home town for the summer, and on her last night she hooks up with Colton. She use to date his brother but also had a crush on him. Mallory figures this is a one time thing, but then Colton starts at the same college as her and is pledging at the fraternity linked with her sorority. He expects to continue what they started, but Mallory is determined to resist him for reasons. What really bothered me about The Hazards of a One Night Stand at first was Colton. He takes every opportunity to inform people that he had sex with Mallory. She's talking to another frat brother at a party, Hey we had sex! She's having a drink with her friends, Hey we had sex! They have a class together, Hey we had sex! Stop announcing it to everyone! That is not okay! That made it impossible to like him. He seemed incredibly immature.Another thing that bugged me was Mallory's reason for not being with Colton. She keeps going on and on about how she can't date a freshman even though they're the same age because her friends are dating seniors. Okay, so? Everyone keeps telling her how much they like Colton and that the grade thing is no big deal, but Mallory is insistent. But then all of a sudden, two-thirds in, she claims that she doesn't want to be left for not being good enough. Now, I could believe that as her reason, except she never even hinted at it before then. It came out of nowhere. Their relationship had also come out of nowhere, since they went from nothing to dating after a several week time jump. Where's the romance?!The final straw though was toward the end. The Hazards of a One Night Stand also deals with Mallory's relationship with her estranged father. He finally comes around and I liked how she was actually giving him a chance. Of course, there has to be drama there and Mallory has to learn to stand up to him. But she learns something that goes against everything she knew about him and her mother, but she never confronts her mother about it. She just runs home, has sex with Colton, and then it ends. It seemed like a pretty big waste of a great plot thread. The Hazards of a One Night Stand just wasn't the book for me. I was hoping for a fun and sexy read like the first book, but it didn't go there.

Great read
Ok so this books was a great read I could not put it down, I have read other work by this author and seem to love it all. She just brings the books to life and makes you laugh in it all. This book is about Mallory who's a girl from a small town and has daddy issues, Low self esteem due to. Bad break up, and a great personality, but also a hidden crush on the one boy she feels she shouldn't , but the one that brings her to life more then anyone ever has. She has crushed on him since high school and when At a party on summer vacation at home she ends up with Colten her long time crush and the one she thinks she shouldn't have and has the best night of sex and feelings she's ever had.Colten is the boy who's been in love with Mallory for as long as he can remember and finally gets his shot with her, but one night is not enough for him, and after Mallory refuse to believe what it could be with them, he ends up at college with her and pledging the a frat that is with hers to be close and win her over. After months of issues and sneaking around, finding love and learning secrets about why her last boyfriend jack and yes this is the best part jack is Colten's older brother, which is why Mallory felt it is so wrong to feel this way, they finally find love with one and other. There's lies, heart ache, sex, and lots of laughter that make this book great

Wonderfully written journey to find happiness...
The Hazards Series is built around friends, and sorority sisters, at Harrison College in Charleston, SC. Each book includes the circle of friends. The books are also about college life, and the revelations that those experiences bring.“One small town boy, one girl who wants more, one roll in the hay…”This story features Mallory. When reading her story, I first thought her to be rather superficial. Rather than follow her heart, she worries what others will think. Embarrassed by her humble upbringing, she wants to be more than some nobody from a small town. However, there is so much more to her than that.Mallory’s ideas are skewed by a father who ran away to the city and a boyfriend who shattered her heart. She feels an unworthiness that she associates with her hometown. How can she possibly fall for her high school crush who just started college at her school? Impossible, right?During her sophomore year of college, Mallory learns a great deal about the whos and whats that are important in her life. She needs to see herself for who she is, not as some people think she should be.I like this story. It speaks to believing in your own self-worth, living your own life, finding your own happiness, and then holding onto it. Author Alyssa Rose Ivy delivers all these lessons in the form of great storytelling. I didn’t even grasp all of this until I finished reading and then reflected on what I’d read. 5 stars

Hard To Put Down...
Spoiler AlertsI really enjoyed this fun read and especially enjoyed the sexual tension between Mallory and Colt. I was semi frustrated with Mallory for the better half of the book since the chick was so hardheaded and tried everything to avoid Colt and her real attraction to him. But good ole Cole kept at it and wore her down (in more ways than one!)I really hope in the near future there will be another book for these two being that there was so much left open like stalker Tanker, her issues with her jerk dad and now Jack. Also what happened to her brother because he seemed to have disappeared from the story. This is the only issues I had with the book and that was the only reason I could only give 4 stars.

I don't even know when I finished this book...I was reading...reading and suddenly 'THE END'. Perhabs it was one of those days when you want read some romance (simple plot) with sense of humor and with guy who knows what he wants and he is sure about his feelings. I enjoyed this book.

Good book
This book was good. Comfortable. There wasn't much dramatic tension. At times Mallory was extremely annoying! Mostly she was likable. Colt was the classic book boyfriend! Very lovable. I felt some of the book dragged. It is worth a read though.

Not sure about this one
I found myself getting a bit bored through this book and I hated the main character Mallory, she is immature, selfish and spoilt and quite frankly the lovely Colt was way too good for her.
