Combination Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Detector, Smoke Co Alarm for Home Bedroom Travel Portable

I used to have FirstAlert brand detectors in my house, which were wired in. I replaced the batteries on them religiously and still would wake up at 4 in the morning with one going off for no reason.I ripped out those and replaced them with these (battery only - not wired) and have not been woken up since. I have had them a little over a year. The indicator light reports on battery life and the installation is easy. I am very happy with this purchase.I highly recommend this product.

Hard to read instructions. No information on how to replace the battery. Finally figured it out. Mine doesn’t work, test alert works but no steady green light. Customer Service through Amazon chat was quick, but took a long time and not particularly helpful. Hope replacement works. Hope companies start writing clear instructions in font sizes easy to read. Would be helpful to include video of how to operate and replace batteries.

After reading the good reviews on this product, I went ahead and ordered one to replace a different brand I had installed that stopped working a number of years shy of its guarantee. I was impressed with the price and as far as installation, the hole pattern on this model matched the ones from my previous one. Couldn't be happier.

Ordered a 2-pack. First time only received a single unit. Contacted Amazon and they promptly sent out a new 2-pack and I returned the single. Only one unit works out of the 2 pack. The second unit keeps beeping even after changing the battery that came with it with a new battery.

This smoke/CO alarm is advertised for use in travel....but it is no different from any other smoke/CO alarm, which means that if it is carried in luggage (think of car, airport, taxi, hotel etc), as soon as any pressure is placed on the large TEST BUTTON, the ear piercing ALARM GOES OFF! I am very disappointed in the misleading advertising of this alarm, and advise anyone who considers it for travel use be aware of this severe limitation.

This smoke detector/carbon monoxide detector combo works well and is simple to install. My husband put this one in my bedroom, as we had realized ours was never reinstalled after a remodel. This also has a low beep to alert of a low battery, which is so nice not having to remember to check them. Id definitely recommend as it's life saving and doesn't cost a ton of money either

The front is marred with what looks like splotches of white paint. After I removed the battery to take off its protective plastic wrap, I put it back in, closed the battery compartment, and went to press on the test button. Nothing. Held it for 30 seconds just in case it took too long. Nothing. Tried to find something in the instruction manual about trouble shooting...nothing. I pressed down one more time and the button snapped in and won’t come back out. The alarm still didn’t sound. Junk.

Very disappointed,this stuff sucks,no information for how to replace battery and the mine doesn’t work there is no steady green light,the quality is like a joke.there is no instruction inside!
