Our Son’s Favorite Indestructible Book
When they sell these as Indestructible, they mean it. This book has been beaten, crumpled, bathed, and chewed on… no rips, tears or anything to damage it! No words, just pictures of jungle animals; great for teaching them animal noises!

Rumble in the Jungle
Jungle Rumble has lovely water color-like illustrations of various jungle creatures, (obviously). The colors are quite vibrant and jump out of the page, and I think the bright colors will appeal to most babies.I like the style of the artist, who appears to also be the creator of this series of Indestructible books along with her daughter-in-law. (Side note: The daughter-in-law is the mother of triplets and must understand that innate need that babies have to want to destroy pages of paper). I own five books from the series and will cut and paste a similar review for all five of them on Amazon. I started out with two books and immediately bought three more and my 5.5 month old baby has been using and enjoying these books since about 4 months old. I let my baby hold the book and explore it on his own and I don't do much beyond pointing to something on the page and saying, "That's a fish!" or something similar. My baby doesn't constantly want to hear a 20 page story, he just wants to hear my voice while he joyfully attempts to rip up the book.Besides being a new mom, I'm also a librarian; formerly a Children's Librarian although now I work with adults. In any case, I'm aware of the importance of introducing the concept of books early on to get little ones prepared for reading one day and to teach them that books are enjoyable. For babies, that means getting them used to feeling a book (sometimes tasting, it can be hard to get them not to do that and it's how they explore), holding it and encouraging them to look at the pictures. I completely understand the criticisms that some of the users have for the fact that these books are wordless, thus preventing the chance to make word associations and the like. But these books are just plain fun and beautiful to look at and true to their claim, absolutely indestructible, which is all I can ask for in a book for my infant. My baby regularly chews on this book and the others we own, and I have put it in the dishwasher a couple times and it's good as new. I have not tried the washing machine yet. These books are also great for sticking in the diaper bag, as they are thin as a piece of paper practically. In fact, that's my only complaint- it's too easy to lose these books if you aren't careful because they are so slim. I can see myself scooping up a bunch of stuff to throw away and having one of these books at the bottom of a pile of old papers. Also, presentation-wise, they don't look like much but I think any of the books in the series would be a great gift to a new parent because the content is so unique and I think any baby would have fun with them.

Really live up to their name!!
These books are WONDERFUL for our 7 month old who constantly wants to read her older siblings' books. They are a great stand-in for a baby who really wants to taste everything - we try to keep one near every bookshelf so when the older kids start reading, we can pull out one of these for our youngest. These have been roughly handled by her older siblings, stepped on, jumped on, folded up, regularly drooled on, scrunched up, and rubbed across the floor, to name a few things, and yet, they're still as durable as when we first got them. The books are remarkably flat when you first get them, but after a bit of baby and toddler use, the only way they show wear is through folds or crumples, which can usually be refolded pretty flat. The pages stay wonderfully intact (the edges don't even fray), and the colors are as vibrant as they've ever been, even after months and years of use. Actually, I'd argue that use provides good texture to the pages and makes them feel better to curious little fingers and mouths. There are no words on any pages except the covers, so you can make up your own story, or just point out the animals or colors or whatever. Honestly, these are great for kids who aren't gentle enough for regular books (and might dissolve board books), but who are ready for story time. The one drawback we've found is that once kids learn that it's OK to eat these books, they try transferring that skill to other books... But it's a great starter book and super sturdy!! :D

Truly Indestructible!
We have this and three other titles. Our son is now one year old, and has had these since he was seven months old. He loves them! He loves looking at the pictures, and though it is thankfully less and less, he still likes putting them in his mouth. He has crumpled them, drooled on them, chewed them, and probably tried to rip them to pieces, but so far there are no tears at all. They are a bit wrinkled after so much abuse, but that is not an issue for us. There are no words, so you can make up your own stories, or just name the animals - each page has enough detail other than the focus animal that it is easy to come up with stories. The pictures are beautiful too - not cheap looking at all.

A must have for small babies and toddlers
This book is full of bright engaging pictures but the biggest feature in my opinion is that baby can explore the book themselves or with us how they want to. With most books we must remind baby not to chew, not to pull, not to rip. Let’s be honest, these are skills that can be learned later when baby is able to understand more than the “no” at the beginning of that sentence. Introducing books can be frustrating and baby will often loses forcus quickly if not allowed to explore how they must, after all, babies are new to this world and learn everything by using all senses available to them.Though my oldest (now 6) has a great relationship with book I do wish these had been available when she was very small. It has been a much more positive way to introduce my now 7 month old twins to the world of books & reading.

Fantastic!
These books are great. They seem quit thin but that's the material, there is a reasonable amount of pages. My daughter absolutely love them and I feel happy knowing she cant eat them. Would highly recommend them.

Babies love them!
These books are Awesome! I received one as a baby gift and really didn't get it until I saw my son play with it. Babies LOVE it. The can crumple, chew it and it truly is indestructible. I now give them as gifts to family and friends that have a baby.
