Well worth the money for this average backpack...
This backpack at first glance looks well-made. IMO, one of the most important part of a good hiking pack are the shoulder harness (straps). It has reinforcement underneath with back-up stitchings. It has very good breathable mesh paddings for the shoulder, a tensioned mesh back panel suspension system (for airflow), side compression straps, good over-all adjustability to make carrying comfortable, average water resistance material used all around, at least a water bottle side pocket (this one has two), plus a rain cover. For me, these are the basics worth paying at this price range. And this pack has it, plus being comparatively light in weight, they gave a 2 year warranty. How good this warranty holds up remains to be seen. But I can't help getting the impression of the hyped-up commercialization of this pack. The zippers are the usual plastic zippers. Slap in an impressionable name "STORMPAK", with a brand associating it with a mountain lion's name is psychology at its best. If one looks closely, where the shoulder straps are attached to the upper body, they did put in the rudimentary stitchings but not all through the whole length where it joins the main body. The lower part of the shoulder harness isn't double stitched, nor I can't find anything from the inside. If you are looking for internal pockets for organization, this isn't the pack for you, albeit a savings on cost and weight. 600D fabric ("D" stands for "Denier" --a unit of measurement describing the linear mass density of the material, calculated by the mass in grams of a single 9,000 meter strand)...Denier is a good measure of strength and durability when you're comparing two deniers of the same material. For example, a 400D nylon bag is not as strong as a 600D nylon bag. But when you are comparing two different materials such as nylon and polyester, all deniers are not equal. Since nylon is a far stronger material than polyester, 420D nylon is actually stronger than 600D polyester. About 89% of these Diamond 600d Ripstops are 100% polyester fabric. Even though these fabrics are woven together very tightly, water is still very very small, hence the provided ""free" 100% WATER PROOF rain cover in the base of the pack."Overall, this is a good to average pack, well worth the money. Not a "Granite Gear" nor a "Mammut" (which the seller never claimed it to be) by any stretch, but average for the money.

Too Small for most poeple
What I like: it's a very solid bag, seems well made and can be adjustedWhat I didn't like and why it got 3 stars - it's not a Men or Women backpack unless you're a smaller than average person. I'm 5'9" and weight about 210#, have a 37" waist and 45" chest1. there is no way to get the straps long enough for the waist straps to reach my hips. My wife is 5'5" but has a long torso and we can even get it to her hips.2. the chest strap is very constraining even with it let all the way out.The bag is going to DiL who is smaller and it should work fine for her.

I think I found a design fault
This bag comes with a 2 year warranty. But a warranty is only good if you can enact it. I can get no response or action from seller or Amazon and have been bumping around on Amazon seeking resolution. It's like a bunch of dead ends. I bought the bag in Jan. 2018.Just a warning... the bag I bought has a fault in the suspension system that allows a sharp edge on plastic back plate to dig into my back and hip. I only had 21lbs in the bag. I had to stop using the bag as I was afraid it was going to cut me.I think I'm going to wind up eating it.

Well organized smaller pack for day hikes or mini- bug-out bag.
This pack isn't huge but holds everything for a small bug-out bag for my daughter, who has a small frame. Lots of compartments to stash and easily retrieve smaller items. Bump out at the bottom holds small sleeping bag. Comfortable to carry.

Great Company and Product
This is a well designed backpack and as described. Its also very comfortable and has plenty of compartments. Unfortunately, the pull tab on the zipper broke off on the very first use. However, the company stood by the warranty, thoroughly communicated with me and sent me a new bag. I would defuntly purchase from this seller again and recommend thus backback!

It's OK
Quality is OK. I have worn it on a couple of walks, and my back hurts a little. Still trying to figure out whether to keep it. Also, a bit small for backpacking.
