YOU NEED THIS
Professionally presented in common everyday terms, stories and analogies. Highly considered, ethical and moral recommendations throughout. I strongly recommend to any fellow parent with a daughter they even remotely care about. I trust it will improve her life and yours as it has mine.

Educate yourself - this book is a great tool
This book provides parents a great resource to raising your daughter and sons in an era of tech, the new norm of social teenagers and what will surprise you is that you didn't know everything. Working in a MS myself, what Dr. Meeker writes about I have seen. So many things pre-teens/teens are struggling with is in this book. Please read, not just for yourself, but for the young lady you are raising.

If you have a daughter buy it
So far my daughter is turning out to be great and that was before I read this book. It look like I was following a lot of the advice anyways. Very good read, highly recommended

Definitely a 5 Star Book!
This book is great!!! I definitely recommend it. Really good tips, because it's very true we live in a toxic culture and us moms have to stay strong for our daughters and be a role model to them, especially with a strong faith.

Love ALL of Meg Meeker’s books
I love Dr Meeker! Her advice is not just based on textbook information but on her experiences working with her patients over decades.

Not helpful for a mom of a 14-yr old teen girl
This book might be helpful if you have a younger child (8-10rs) as a heads-up for what's to come, or to provoke thought in advance of having issues, but if your child is a teen and already in the digital world of social media, there won't be much in here that you don't already know. If you already have a good sense of emotional intelligence, this book won't add much more value. Our family believes in a higher power but we aren't church goers so I found the 122 references to God to be annoying. If you are religious, you might like this book. If you are not religious, you'll skip over a lot. Some advice was incredibly lame and not realistic for the masses such as "Mothers often mentor daughters by reading books together. It can start easily by reading to her when she’s a young child. Later, you could form a mother-daughter book club where you read and discuss books together and the lessons they might teach".Also the advice to restrict social media to 30-minutes a day... not helpful in this real world. Now with that said... this book was highly recommended to me by a guy at the car dealership so obviously someone found value in it. And I did get a couple of tidbits out of it. But I think my money would have been better invested in a different book.

Used book :(
The book is good, nothing to complain about it but unfortunately they've send me an used book because it was like in the picture attached by me and I wasn't expecting this.

Unscientific and sexist
The author is a pediatrician, not a psychiatrist. The book is very Christian with sexist and transphobic undertones.Difficult to understand the point and difficult to draw conclusions or even understand the logic of the author. I didn't get far in the book but so far no scientific support for the author's claims is made.Regret buying and will stick to book from professionals from now on.

Very helpful for understanding today's issues with raising kids.
This is the first time I'm raising a teen daughter and so like everything I need to read up on it to better understand it. Even chapters was bang on what I'm seeing my daughters go through. I want the best for her and I want to be there for her. Thank you Dr.Meeker for your awesome book you wrote.

A good read for every dad
Nice way to approach things. About religion, interesting how the whole concept of spirituality is described. A good read for every father with daughters.Very good examples, but don't apply linearly. Sometimes, for the average dad, examples are at the other extreme (in the bad sense), but if you should be able to get your takeaways.
