Women Victorian Rococo Dress Gothic Ball Gown Costumes (Dress & Hoop skirt)

I love this dress so much! I bought it to wear as a Victorian ghost and again to a Victorian themed Thanksgiving event. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it’s better made than expected and feels like a real dress. The laces on the side allow for a custom fit and the details are really nice, from the buttons to the ruffles. The hoop skirt gives it extra authenticity and flair. The material is perfect for what it is. It’s not a super high quality but doesn’t feel like a cheap costume. As far as fit, I think it’s true to size. I’m 5’8”, 145lbs and typically wear a medium. The medium fits perfectly and the ties make it easier to get the best look for my shape. I’m so excited to wear this! I’ll update this if anything changes but I highly recommend you give it a shot.

Not your average Halloween costume. It’s stunning. I’m 5’2” and 170 lbs and ordered a size large Style A(satin)-black. I added a witch’s hat and wig. The hoop skirt added so much. High quality material. The length was perfect for my height. I used a hand steamer to remove wrinkles.

This dress is practically a real dress, no one knew it wasn't a complete article, even me. If you are a perfectionist, you might want to tailor it to be perfectly fitted, but I had a fine time with exactly what came in the mail. I had a Victorian lace collar and a corset of my own but at the end of the day, the belt that cam with it was more flattering and made me look less squat. I am 5'7 and if I were taller I would have wanted a black wide slip under, as it was itnwas almost short, but I guess I was lucky and it hid my boots alright. I won the Most Original Costume as Catrina for Dio de los Muertos. Honestly the dress is sturdy, the zipper was perfect and really well constructed. It came with and authentic but light and wieldy hoop skirt. It was not lined but the satin it was made with is so solid, it did not need a lining and thank goodness for that, otherwise I would have overheated while dancing. Overall, I feel as though I got an amazing deal. It could have easily cost 5-8 times more from a company here in California, or I could have spent twice the price just to rent it, instead I own it for under $80 including tax. There was absolutely no smell of anything, perfect to wear out of the package. I ordered up so I could be sure of a good fit in time for Halloween and it was roomy but perfect with the belt to cinch the waste and the hoop skirt was the same, roomy as a large. I have 31" waist, 43" hips, 38" bust and I could have easily fit a medium. These are American or Western sizes and a large was very very roomy through the waist, shoulders and bust. I wear a 10/12 and this probably could have fit a 16/18. There is no stretch, it is made from a sturdy washable satin, and the dress interior is totally finished, very comfortable, what you would expect from clothing from Kohl's, all the seams were finished and smooth. It is completely functional, everything works as designed to work. This is a brilliant product and I recommend and will buy from the manufacturer again, no doubt. 10/10.

Beautiful, well made, with heavy fabric, but sizing seems large. I used a tape measure on myself AND the size guide posted to order my size (large). I also ordered a large because that's the size I usually wear in a shirt. It's both too baggy and at least 2 inches too short. I am not a tall person; I'm 5'4" and weigh 134 pounds. I wish I'd ordered a medium, but that would have been even shorter. I have little in the way of hips and have less in the rear, but that shouldn't matter because this is a dress. I'm about a 36-C and the bodice is very baggy, but dresses were tailored back then and this has to fit different body types; it's beautiful and well made. Considering how high quality the dress is, the belt was not great, but at least it cinched the waist. This dress would benefit greatly by adding 2 small darts to the bodice. There is no shape to the top and the belt is required to do the heavy lifting of creating a shape that would have been done historically with tailoring. I'd add them myself if I was going to keep it, but I I'm going to have to return it as it's way too short even in just my socks. The included hoop is of excellent quality and able to support the dress well. The bow is attached with a safety pin and can be left off. As a note, I spent years in theatre. I have worn and studied historical costumes and this dress is of higher quality than some professional costumes I've worn. It's not the most accurate by far, but the color is accurate to the picture, it's pretty warm if you're in a cooler climate or don't sweat a lot. I didn't have trouble doing the zipper on my own, but others may struggle. The pull tab is small and hard to grasp. I was comfortable and I was able to move freely and raise my arms. If I put it back on to have another look I'll take a phot and update. This will need serious steaming, but it will be lovely once wrinkle free. If you are looking for a beautiful costume and don't mind a small investment, this piece is a great value and will last for years. By removing the belt, with some easy alterations and changing accessories, there are tons of characters that this piece would work for.

This dress was perfect for my vintage inspired witch costume! It is honestly a really good quality costume. The sizing was a perfect fit. There are also laces on each side so that you can bring the size in a bit if it's too big. I paired it with a hoop skirt underneath to give it more shape. I have already had ao mamy compliments on this dress! I am very happy with this purchase.

I'm a man, 177cm, 85kg not really fat but strong build with belly. I need a dress for a mystery party set in Victorian period we're my character is a woman. Bought the XXL size thinking I was not going to fit in it, or at least not with the corset belt. This dress is absolutely fantastic! It arrived in only four days, and when I put it on to try it fitted perfectly, I'd even say it is comfortably loose (but I think chosing an XL for me would not have worked). The details and the quality are amazing, perfect for costume parties, period parties or cosplay. Totally recommend! Can't wait to see the faces of the other guests

This was my backup dress for Halloween when the original dress order from another company was messed up. I paid a little more for this one, but it was cuter and came with a hoop skirt to poof it out. I wore it to a haunted house and I kept getting compliments. I do have a larger bust and the top was a little tight, but other than that it worked out perfectly. It also wasn't too hot due to the hoop skirt keeping the fabric away from my legs. I had a fun little bell shaped skirt that I played with all night. A goth Disney princess, for sure.

I got a 2x the sleeves were tight and the seams tore on the arms. Get one size bigger and you'll be good. Otherwise very nice dress!
