It worked straight away
Works perfectly. The sound is no worse that than listening to a CD in the Mercedes head unit but the Mercedes system isn't that great. I chose this Bluetooth adaptor because it had good reviews and it was Bluetooth 5. It is very easy to fit and set up - the hardest thing was getting the adaptor into the socket in the centre console because of the silly socket location. My car is a 2011 SL - I don't know the Command Com version but it all works very well iPhone 13 Pro. Great for Spotify / Apple Music / podcasts and also Waze. I'm very happy to recommend.

Works perfectly on AUX
This dongle provides ability to stream music via additional bluetooth on AUX connection on COMAND, while keeping telephony connection through the standard car bluetooth connection.Connected the cable to the Media Interface connector in the car glove compartment. Dongle lights up a LED when successfully connected to the car. Once connected, search for the dongle on your phone's bluetooth, and the dongle will slowly flash blue after making a successful connection to your phone.Because this connects to COMAND via AUX, make sure to put volume on your phone on max, and use the Volume Boost option on the AUX channel in COMAND.Took me a while to find the AUX selector on the COMAND system, but a quick Google search solved that and I can't blame the product for that.Product works as advertised, no issues.

Great device for your Merc
The car I bought this for is a Mercedes S350d 2011 (W221). It was delivered very quickly by Amazon. The adapter itself is very easy to install. Simply plug and play.In my case, I plugged it into the MMI interface located inside the glove box, turned the ignition, opened the Bluetooth menu on my phone, connected to 'Jie Rui BT' option, selected Aux on the comand screen and away you go.Don't forget to configure the adapter to Audio only and MB Bluetooth to calls only. This way, both car and adapter will be connected and you can answer calls as normal if your car has phone preparation. It doesn't need a separate power source. It turns on when I turn the car on and connects to my phone quickly and seamlessly. In case AUX is greyed out, select music interface first, and then AUX on comand. And no, you can't use steering controls except for volume.Audio quality is OK at best. I am not saying that as a negative but don't want people to buy this expecting amazing audio quality. The sound is clean, clear and loud but I feel the 'richness' is missing. For example, if I tune into a FM radio station with great signal, listen to a song and then play the same song via the adapter, you get a sense that something is missing.Anyhow can't beat its convenience, especially for the price.5/5 would recommend.
