I’m super impressed with the quality of this item. The price was right so I gave it a go & I’m so glad I did. We moved into this house & it had a wooden seat on the toilet. The painted kind. A bunch of paint had worn off so it looked yucky & obviously was a porous surface so lacked the ability to properly sanitize. This seat is heavy duty. It matches perfectly, fits perfectly with no wiggle & isn’t cheap feeling. I sit on the lid while bathing kids & it’s totally solid.The instructions however need work. The package had a bunch of parts not listed or shown in instructions. I figured it out but showing me where all those parts went would’ve been nice

The seat came well packaged with not two, but three layers of boxing materials. The seat is everything I was expecting and then some- very comfortable; sturdy; easy to install; rubber mounting pads and adjustable washers for a secure attachment to toilet and nice neutral nice color. The seat cover is lighter than the original American Standard seat, but handles my 200 pounds quite well when I sit on it. The seat itself, has a bigger opening than my my original one and feels much more comfortable due to its contour shape. In addition, because some of the descriptions and reviews can be quite misleading, this is a basic toilet seat with normal closing hinges and regular mounting hardware- no quick disconnect feature or slow closing hinges. It is exactly what I wanted.

Ordered to replace mid '60's Am. Std. Regency Blue molded wood seat. I chose this product due to its modest price relative to others available in this color. Color match is perfect, appearance attractive, quality seems good; installation easy---for an experienced individual! I am quite pleased with the product.However, instructions are a joke since they fail to mention several clever features which may not be self evident to all individuals: such as:pads to go between hinges and the bowl, the snap open top covers on hinges which must be opened to install the bolts and one of 2 sets of stainless steel locating washers supplied which, depending on selection and installation position permit the seat to be moved slightly fore or aft, or skewed to align it with the bowl. They also fail to tell you that the mounting nuts are conical on the top side which automatically centers the bolt in its hole.It all adds up to a simple and clever installation system, of which the manufacturer should be proud, but which should be explained in the instructions.

It is also more lightweight, made of a thinner plastic, especially the lid. This would really bother me, it seems a bit flimsy, but since it's only my 102 pound son who ever sits on top of it, then I'm sure it will hold up just fine.The opening is wider and longer, it felt strange at first and I couldn't help wondering what would happen if a little kid tried to use it, seriously, he/she could fall in!The fact that the entire thing is made of plastic is a real big bonus in one way that our last, wooden seat wasn't, it is easier to sterilize it. Our wooden seat had begun to fray, making me nervous that bacteria was lodging into the cracks, nasty thought, right?

I bought this to replace the seat on the Dometic 320 bone color toilet in my RV travel trailer. I was concerned that the bone color of the seat may not match, but it matched very well. The thing that impressed me is the way it mounts. The adjustable hinge has 3 positions to match the length of the toilet bowl. It has washers for the hinge that lock it in the position you choose and the nut on the bottom is tapered so it will stay centered in hole. Also there is nice big rubber washer that goes under the hinge to help keep it in position.

Not cheap feeling, well made seat looks like it will last a long time.

The seat won't stay up anymore
