Consider placement before buying.
The product works as advertised. However signal strength is key. Since it connects to the original wifi network via wifi to then extend that same signal, proximity to the indoor router determines the speed that the unit can beam out. For my particular situation, I wanted to mount the unit away from view as to not have an eyesore on the front of my house. It’s mounted about 60 feet from the nearest mesh wifi router (eero pro) and gets 70% signal strength from it. When logged onto the outdoor wifi network (you have to create an additional wifi network with this unit) the speed is very very very low. Can’t have a zoom meeting or stream a movie. I would assume the signal strength issue would be resolved if you could hook up the unit to the ISP’s modem via Ethernet rather than wifi, but I have yet to successfully connect with tech support on that. Each time I call I get bounced to voicemails or hung up on. So there’s that. I’m going to try and figure it out but basically if you’re looking for a simple solution, this may not be it. Takes some trial and error to make it work so it’s useable. Otherwise, it’s simple to install and the set up instructions are clear. Also it’s way too expensive for what it is. Seriously.

Impressive WiFi signal!
I ordered this WiFi extender because we live in a very remote area, where cell service is virtually nonexistent, and we require internet to be in contact with the outside world. Our standard WiFi routers only shoot WiFi to maybe 20 feet outside our house and shop.I opened it yesterday and tested it prior to mounting. The instructions were very easy to follow (I’m not at all tech-y). I had it up and running in about 15 minutes, using only my iPhone.I set it up in the shop, and placed the extender about 50 feet outside, in an open area of the driveway, approximately centered on our ten acre property, then took a walk with my cell phone. Wowza! I’m impressed! I walked our entire property and had great coverage in all but the farthest corner. Even with the barn or shop between me and the extender, I was able to get 3-4 bars. I m pretty sure that once it’s mounted on the roof of the shop, I’ll be able to get signal in the far corner of the property. I am very happy so far with the WiFi signal. The material quality seems to be decent, but I was expecting it to be maybe a little sturdier feeling for a product that Is designed to be mounted outdoors 24/7/365. It’s not really flimsy, just lighter weight plastic than I expected. Time will tell how it holds up.I did have one question for tech support, so I called the 800 number. A live person answered my call on the 3rd ring, and gave me the info I needed. Impressed again!Overall very pleased so far!

Has a signal and works, but much slower than anticipated.
Bought this many months ago and have been using it for wifi access around my 3 acres. It works well and has held up to outdoor use. One thing I will say is that it seems to throttle speed significantly. I have tried ethernet and wifi both as the input with a 300+mbps signal going into the receiver from either source and I've never gotten over 40mpbs back out of the otherside. 40mpbs is plenty quick for what I use it for, but this is a very expensive device to throttle my internet by 90%. I contacted the company about it and they asked me to download and to send them a report, but then I didn't hear from them again until I contacted them. When I contacted them again, they just asked for the same report and then never got back to me again. They said there was an error in the download of the previous report that I had sent and that they didn't think to contact me about the issue. Haven't heard from them since and that was a couple months ago.

Great for whole property WiFi
After quite a bit of research, I purchased this antenna to supply WiFi to my 5 acre property. I removed an old satellite dish from my roof and mounted this antenna to the existing pole. This requires purchasing a new U-bolt because the included one is too small for the standard satellite mount. I opted to hardwire this using an Ethernet cable for a better signal. When mounting, make sure the location you select has good line of sight to the areas you would like to have WiFi. Buildings and trees can degrade the signal. It was quick to set up and it works well. I get a strong signal (2-3) bars all over my property within a range of about 350 feet from the antenna. I only have one dead spot and that area has no line of sight to the antenna. (Line of sight is blocked by the house roof and some trees)Overall, this was a great inexpensive solution to bringing WiFi to my entire property.

Provides WiFi over the entire property
This provides great WiFi reception to a shed and a guest house on our property. The first one we ordered quit working after the first rain on it, but tech support was very kind and shipped a new one right away. This one has been through some 100 degree days and several rain storms and is doing great!

Nope ...
I really wanted this to work. It would have been such an easy solution for us to get wireless connectivity at our gazebo which is about 650 feet behind our house, so it should be comfortably within the advertised range of 1000 feet.We plugged it in, the set went flawlessly and in minutes we were ... are you kidding me?The signal strength drops away so quickly with distance that at 300 feet the signal is weaker than 80-82 dbM. Useless. I considered buying a second one to put halfway to our goal but at halfway the signal would be too weak to catch and send onward. “Up to 1000 feet” ... yeah maybe in a vacuum or on the moon but not on this planet. 200 feet is pushing your luck.

It’s good enough.
The best WiFi signal boost I’ve had yet. Not as good as reviewed. Not sure how this would extend to 10 acres. I have 1.5 acres and get 2 of 3 bars at the furthest point. Thinking of purchasing another to boost further.

Definitely not 1000 ft!
Definitely not 1000ft but it works pretty good at the barn about 5500 ft away.
