This is sold as a sheath for an Opinel #8 knife. It is too small. However, it is a perfect fit for the Opinel #7 knife. I’ll keep it. I previously bought the Oopsmark sheaths for the #8 and the #9. Both were perfect fit for the respective sizes.

I was reluctant to purchase this due to the price, but it had such a clean look I went for it. Very pleased with the craftsmanship, and it's real leather! Once it loosenes up, you will be able to pull the knife out easily. I quickened the process by putting my Opinel #8 in the sheath upside down as far as I could without forcing it, and letting it sit for a bit. Its works like a champ, holds my knife secure and releases with just the right amount of force. I really enjoy carrying my Opinel #8 this way. I really feel, due to the professionalism of the stitching, this sheath will outlast quite a few knives. Due to the slim design, it tucks close to your belt loop and I haven't snagged it on anything.

I ordered this for my No. 8 size Opinel. The fit is perfect - securely snub, but easily retrieved. The craftsmanship is very good and I expect this to last a while. An Opinel fits wonderfully in the pocket, but this makes access to a bigger knife like the No. 8 easier, and - let's face it - this is great for the leather doodad lover who has everything. Recommended.

Well-made, soft leather. Fits snugly.But, it is more expensive than it should be.

Fits my need exactly. Very tight fit initially. It's difficult to get an optimal in at first. In no time, literally the same day, the sheath stretched to fit perfectly. No problems removing or placing it back in sheath. This item also fits a medium antonini old bear, though there will be a little hump due to the locking mechanism.

Quality materials and well made but the belt loop was to small to fit my belt.

Tight hold on knife. Good belt loop. Opening at bottom a big plus.

Leather faaaaaar too thin...split after a week... overpriced.... poor quality

Stimmt schon, wenn die Messerscheide kommt, ist sie wirklich etwas eng. Allerdings ist dies in der Produktbeschreibung auch so vermerkt. Ich hab dem Ding mal schnell ein Bad in Balistol verpasst und dann das nagelneue Opinel No. 8 hineingepresst. Nach ein paar Minuten, war alles in Ordnung und Scheide sowie Messer sind bereits am Gürtel angebracht.

Un porta coltello lo preferirei un po' più robusto e con un attacco alla cintura più pratico come una clip. In generale è molto carino e ben fatto. Caro il prezzo. Spero vi sia utile come commento.

I ordered the tan no 8 sheath for my Husband who is a keen fisherman. He is very happy with this practical sheath that fits perfectly. High quality leather used. Lovely little product.
