SMD LCD Digital Rework Soldering Station Hot Air Gun Solder Iron Welder With 11-Piece Soldering Tip Kit

It worked very well for two years. And now it's dead. Checked the fuse, it's fine. 4 days it ago it was working fine. After the weekend, went to use it and it's totally dead. Neither the hot air or the soldiering iron respond. No display, nothing. Disappointed. It didn't get abused and it's use was only moderate and we just barely got over 2 years. Searching for another brand to replace it with.UPDATE: I think I know why it died. We had a mild storm over the weekend and had a few flickers of power. All I can think of is that there were some power surges that this could not handle. Nothing else died, but most everything is plugged into a good UPS so if you get one you might want to plug it behind a small UPS.

The quality of this station is very good. I like every thing about it. It does the job it was intended to do. The only problem is I was shorted the solder wick that was to be included with this unit. If they are not going to include it they should not list it in the description. I would also like to find out who made it. It has no brand name. I also would like to find out who has replacement parts for this unit. Will that's about it.

So far so good. I used once and works as good as described, I hope it will last. I took one star out for the missing desoldering Wick which was suppose to be included as stated in the description other than that I think this product will get the job done .

Great station for the money. I had a problem with the soldering hand piece, wrote to Amazon and they had the dealer get me a new hand piece, checking to make sure it worked before they sent it to me the next day!! Great customer service from Brainy Trade!

First station I got was defective but Amazon issued a quick refund. Second works great so far.

I purchased this soldering/ rework station for ham radio, computer, and other electronics projects. Everything seems to be working great so far. Heats up very quickly, many extras included. Feels of good quality, not cheap. Can't wait to use it more!

I have been using this product for one and a half years now and couldn't be happier.I bought this to replace a more expensive unit which had a pump failure. This one uses a fan and it's still going strong.The good:The soldering iron heats up very fast and is safe and secure in it's holder. The hot air heats up very fast too and cools down at a nice rate as well. If you are trying to cool down electronics slowly then this is on the quicker side but still good. The controls are easy to use and there are enough switches to control each part separately or as a whole unit. This has also lasted longer than my more expensive purchaseThe bad:My biggest complaint would have to be the controls. The controls are easy to use but it does take a while to change the temperature. You have to push one button to start to change the temperature, a button to change the hundreds, a button to change the tens, and then a button to change the ones. This is frustrating if you like to increase the temperature slowly. I thought my rework station was broken at one point but it ended up just being a faulty power cord.Overall:A great unit for the price and if this stops working in the near future I will strongly consider buying a newer model of this one.
