This book was an AMAZING resource to not just the BEAUTY & THE BEAST I know, but to different versions of this beloved (and my FAVORITE) fairy tale from different parts of the world. Such as China, Russia, Italy and Portugal. And one from Greek mythology, Cupid & Psyche. A brief history of each version is provided as well as artistic illustrations and a brief history on illustration (which I found very interesting). If you love BEAUTY & THE BEAST, I highly recommend this book.

Daughter loved it for a Valentine's Day present, but it's a really THIN book. When I got it out of the package I wasn't even sure it was the right book.

My boyfriend got me this and I absolutely loved reading the history and different versions from around the world.

Lovely composition of diverse BatB tellings from different cultures and epoches, accompanied by beautiful pictures from the Golden Age of Illustration at the beginning of the 20th century that sketch scenes from the tale. Those could have been put in a better arranged way, but besides that the book offers exactly what it promises.

I don't like the cover, but it's personal taste. Apart this, it's a good product.
