Linon Flokati 4-Foot by 6-Foot Rug, 1400-Gram, Olive

I am very pleased with the 10x16 Flokati rug and with Cymax as a seller. This rug is the real thing, made with the same materials and techniques as fashionable hip rugs imported decades ago. It is soft luxurious wool with a uniform vanilla color. Do not confuse a Flokati with an acrylic shag carpet, which has a completely different texture and density. The long strands of wool have a tussled appearance and a mind of their own to some degree, lying flat or standing up, evenly or unevenly, depending on how you groom and shake the rug. [My photo shows the appearance of the rug after only a quick shake; no grooming or fussing.] This rug is a luxurious, fashionable choice for a modern interior. Also, Cymax's packaging and shipping was exemplary. Amazon gave a 3-week delivery estimate but the rug was shipped the day after I ordered it and arrived in Virginia two days later. It was wrapped in protective plastic, then compactly folded and stuffed into a pillow case made of water-proof tarp. This smart packaging kept the rug clean and dry, and allowed a single person to easily lift, carry, and unwrap it. I would re-purchase this exact rug without hesitation, and would trust Cymax with future purchases. Strongly recommended.

Too hard to make anything out of it. I've worked and worked with it...still flat and stringy. Even bought the "premium professional sheepskin rug brush." Still not fluffed...but could be going bald. Every time I work with it, it loses fur.

Note that the 4x6 rug is actually 3 1/2 x 5 1/2.

Much more full than other wool rugs I have purchased. True color texture and size they also have a great care insert. I never knew some of the things about wool rugs and was pleased to learn how to make my rug last!

This is a fantastic rug. It is thick and beautiful. Luckily I read up on care for the flokati rugs before I purchased. The one star review here notes that on arrival his rug looked "threadbare." this is how the rugs look until they are properly cared for. You must shake the rug "like it is your job" (so say the care instructions included), and brush it with a metal dog brush, then your rug will be gorgeous. I was given one of these rugs several years ago before I knew anything about them and sent it to good will after it had started to look clumpy and "threadbare." I wish I had not. I love this beautiful rug and would have given it 5 stars except you really have to be diligent about shaking the hell out of it regularly. The more you shake the fluffier it gets.

The quality is very poor more like a throw then a rug . Didn’t open it for a month because I was remodeling and boy am I disappointed and now it’s too late to return .

this rug was not solid tan, as described and as shown in amazon's illustration. it was an ugly melange of white and golden beige. quality was just so-so. the rug looks dirty.

Beautiful! Had to brush it out a bit to get the fullness but looks great in the bedroom!
