You can invent these games yourself
This book seems like it will be really fun and helpful at first glance, but after trying to actually apply these games with my dog, they fall into two categories: 1) games that I could have thought up myself (place a treat under a blanket and see if your dog can get it out); and 2) games that require a large amount of extra stuff that you don’t have laying around the house (have your dog go spelunking in a kiddie pool, or bury treats in a box full of ball pit balls from chuckie cheese). A lot of the games also have no clear “training” purpose. For example, one game involves putting a treat in a small bucket, tying that bucket to a rope, dangling the rope through a railing off the edge of a porch or loft type thing, and then seeing if your dog will pull and/or paw at the rope to reel in the bucket with the treat. Um... look, my dog isn’t Lassie. I generally prefer that my dog doesn’t paw at and pull on random stuff around my house, so what is the purpose of this, exactly? Do most people just have tiny children’s buckets and random lengths of rope laying around? I don’t.Anyway, this book looks cool and it is full of a lot of highly colored pictures of dogs who look like they are having fun, but ultimately I think most people could probably invent these games for themselves and/or most people don’t want to buy six different types of dog tunnels in order to play a “10 minute” game with their pup.Hard pass.

AMAZING book!
This is a GREAT book! The games are so much fun - Zima's by far favorites are Weenie Bobbing & the Muffin Tin game. I teach a local trick dog class and we use the Muffin tin game as an intro to all tricks working with scent.I really like the set up of this book too. It breaks the tricks into categories like confidence building, coordination, etc. That has come in handy when I try to teach my dog and the dogs in my trick class a good variety of tricks.Zima has earned her Champion Trick Dog title and it is because of THIS specific book! We started with 51 Puppy Tricks (also by Kyra), but when I was struggling to find a coordination trick a 6 month old puppy could do I got this book last Christmas. I taught the Double Beam trick and that was our last step in becoming a champion! Thanks Kyra for your GREAT trick books! After one year of owning a dog I know own all 4 of your trick books (101 Dog Tricks, 51 Puppy Tricks, 101 More Dog Tricks, and this one, 10 Minute Dog Training Games)

Wonderful Book for Dogs of All Ages!
This is one of my all time favorite dog books! I have a Dalmatian puppy, and I was looking for ways to bond with him that would be fun for both of us. This book has some wonderful and fun games to play with puppies as well as more advanced games and tricks when you're ready for more of a challenge. You don't need a lot of space to play these games - and some of the props required you will have in your house already. My puppy and I started with easy things like Weenie Bobbing (we used our bathtub instead of a splash pool and it worked great) and the Muffin Tin Game and we've been having fun ever since! One thing I love about this book is the activities fit easily into your day. We are all busy, and it's hard to find the extra time to spend quality time with your dog. This book makes it easy!If you're looking for ways to have fun with your dog while building a stronger bond with him (or her) this book is a great choice!

Great for keeping your dog challenged
I loved 101 dog tricks and bought this book for quicker activities to do with my dogs. This book stands on its own and does not cross over with the other book which gives you great value. What i likeThe activities vary in difficulty level and definitely make it easy to find something for your dog.the book is broken down into different types of training or activities eg bonding, tricks, obedienceGood indexHas games that build on from each otherWhile some games require props, most of the time you can use substitutesMy only problem is that the formatting for use on the Kindle iPad app is not great. Howver it is still readable and does include links which make it easy to navigate.

I'm so glad I didn't pay but $2 for this
I'm so glad I didn't pay but $2 for this. If you are new to training games with your dog, or need ideas as a new trainer, this would be a good thing to have on hand. As someone who has trained for 2+ years, has 4 dogs, and works them regularly, I ended up getting nothing new from this book. All of the games also require props, the likes of which you likely won't own unless you've been training and playing training games with your dog(s) for a long time. In all honesty, if you just go on YouTube and search for prop games, training games, and balance training for your dog, you're likely to find a lot of the same stuff.

10-Minute Dog Training Games
Some look very interesting, tho most use additional props. My pup learns quickly and is a real rascal, always getting into trouble. I'm afraid several of these would teach him bad habits...wiping his paws, for example, would just cause him to grab the mat and run around the yard; treibball, he already popped my agility workout ball; tug, he's started stealing the towels off the oven door; weenie bobbing, we already have to put very little water in his dish or he'll splash it all over the house. He's such fun!

Fun tricks with easy to follow instructions
I doubt you'll want to use every lesson in this book as there are so many. Quite a few build on earlier tricks and the book is structured to find related tricks easily. I really liked the variety and am enjoying playing with the dogs on those that we like!

OK, but needs lots of equipment
This book has many training tips and tricks you can teach your dog, but the amount of equipment required to do this would be very expensive. Almost every training game uses equipment that is not readily available in the average home. Probably a book for the enthusiast. Saying this, I have taught my dog to ring a bell to let me know he wants to go outside instead of scratching the door.

I have a Rhodesian Ridgeback, who constantly needs mental and physical stimulation. I'd done the hiding of treats/toys, the "find me" game, infact I thought I'd done everything people told me to do - but then I found "10 minute dog training games", and started giving them a go.I've tried all the games and they work, and now my dog is constantly stimulated which is great for me, because now I can sit down without him demanding attention. I'd reconmend this book to ALL dogs owners as this book has simple and harder activites for every type of dog. Also there is no great need to go out and buy this and that and household objects are fine to use. Once you've have done all the "exercises" in the book, you can go back to the beginning and start again - it's fantastic!!!

Great book, inspiring but...
I found this book through Kyra Sundance's podcast and I was very excited to recieve it. It is a very good book and it has a lot of fun exercises BUT a lot of them require props, rather large ones that the average dog-owner just don't have and probably can't fit in their home. With some ingenuity one can re-invent those games of course but it was a little bit disappointing to find that at least half of the book was more or less useless to me.If you have a house or a passion for big dog toys this is definitely the book for you.If you don't it's still worth a read if only for the inspiration. Kyra Sundance knows what she's talking about and the pictures are topnotch and very cute.
