Great for introducing young children to division
This is a fantastic book for introducing division to young children. I’ve used this for teaching year one and it’s a great way to get children to understand division in a real life, concrete way.

Excellent story starting point for teaching about sharing, dividing and fractions.
I don't know how I have got through 16 years of teaching in KS1 before finding this book - it's a brilliant starting point for work on division, fractions & sharing problems. I used it with my mixed YR/1&2 class - everyone was able to access the text with different levels of challenge in the maths.

Perfect to use within the Development Matters curriculum.
Brilliant book for talking about the concept of halving and sharing to young children. Ideal to make into a practical activity with real cookies!

Great book for EYFS
I was a bit hesitant in ordering this book because it was a bit pricey but it was a great quality book. I'm a Reception teacher so it was a great way to introduce sharing objects equally. Defentely worth it!!

I cannot recommend this book enough! I have used it over and over when introducing a new class to division and it works like a charm. Really good for starting discussions about sharing with KS1.

A nice book to learn numbers and counting
Ma(Mom) baked 12 cookies for Sam and Victoria. The door bell rang and 2 friends came over. They've got 3 cookies each ! The door bell rang and rang...How many cookies do you think they could finally get? I baked chocolate chip cookies just like the ones in this picture book with my students and they remember. 6 each ! 3 each ! etc. It's nice to let children guess what will happen at the end before you flip the last page. Some children have quite good imagination. They can guess one more time after the last page. You can just say,“Who do you think came this time ?”Most students of mine said,“Granpa.”

問いかけながら
児童英語レッスンで使っています。日本語版もそうですが、子どもの学齢によってはただ読むだけでなく問いかけたりしながら読んでいくのも楽しいです。工夫次第で色々な展開ができる絵本です。
