The 99% Solution Kindle Edition

I just finished The 99% Solution and I'm floored. What an amazing book!!!The characters were fabulous, the story was great, and the time weaving was incredible. I'm so glad that it's the first in a series. I can't wait for the next one!!Thanks to Ransom Stephens for doing all the work it takes to create such wonderful stories. I and all the people I turned om to The God Patent very much appreciate histalent and continued commitment to the craft.

A collection of quirky characters, headed by a computer engineer armed with the software to predict (statistically, and so with a reasonable amount of uncertainty) the future, come together during the Occupy movement and immediately become entangled in a mission to help one young woman who might be a key player in saving the world. An engaging and fun read that takes a reader to a number of unexpected places, from offices of one of the most powerful men in the world, to a quirky underground San Francisco cafe.

Like another reader who posted a review here, I'm not an avid a fan of science fiction, but I am a fan of Ransom Stephens. He is a wordsmith who delivers a combination of intelligence, humor, scientific expertise, cultural knowledge and thrills in this book. If you buy it, I expect you'll swiftly get drawn into the challenges his memorable characters face and yearn for the next in the series when you reach th end.

I love The 99% Solution because it's so much FUN! A classic SF romp through time-weaving, clairvoyance, and save-the-world suspense, there's no stopping three misfit hackers who struggle to save a plucky heroine from herself and two sets of nasty villains. Winter the attack beagle is just the first clue there's as much hilarity as intrigue coming your way. When you enter the Intoxicating Page, on Valencia Street, you will realize you don't want to stop living in this bookshop, in close proximity to these characters. So don't wait. Read the tail, I mean the tale.

This clever, entertaining thriller blends history, current events, and technology with well-drawn characters and a dash of quantum physics. I miss the characters already (especially the beagle) and eagerly await the next book in the series.

The 99% Solution is a great book. Readable, interesting, thought-provoking, funny as hell -- it has it all. The characters are well-developed, the plot is topical and unusual, and the writing is great. All in all it's a great book and I highly recommend it!

Ransome Stephens brings truth and intrigue to life on the pages of this book. Starting with contemporary history this is a thrilling ride into what could be our future. Can't wait for his next book.
