This fastener works great to add more water bottle mounts to my bicycle frame.I drilled a 9/32" hole in the frame and used a simple rivet nut setting tool to secure it.

Have installed over 150 and not one has been defective. Rivet nuts anchor firmly and bolts thread in smoothly. Great product!

Worked just fine easy to use

As I wrote in my M3-size review, please purchase a high quality rivet nut tool; it makes life easy, particularly with these larger M5-size rivet nuts which take a fair amount of leverage to compress properly. Cheap tools are such a nightmare. I ended up with the Amazon  TACKLIFE 14" Auto Pumping Rod Rivet Nut Tool  tool which makes quick work of all sizes of rivet nuts, even in very thick or heavy material.The rest of my review is simply a copy of my M3 review because I've used both the M3 and M5's without issue, and had exactly the same experience.As far as these rivet nuts go, there's really not a lot to review about them other than do they strip out or collapse under high tension rivet nut tools, shear off under load, or rust. As far as the first two criteria, no problem. For the third, only time will tell and I'll update my review if problems ever surface.They do come in an awkwardly large box; I just transferred them to a labeled plastic bag to more easily fit them in my tool box. I've used both the M3 and M5 sizes successfully.

Whether it is screws, nuts & bolts, washers or drill bits, this brand has impressed me. I have not used these before and am looking for a project for them. The tests showed that they are nicely made.I have not found burrs or thread issues and the sizes listed match those of other brands in my hardware supplies.I’m the one in the family that gets to make or fix things, so I always try to keep as wide a variety as I can around so I don’t have to go shopping for just a few of whatever I need.

I only "discovered" rivet nuts a couple of years ago and they have my life so much easier, especially when fabbing camera and lighting mounts.These M5's have the correct 5mm thread and work perfectly. I used a few at random and all worked flawlessly without splits or problems.

I needed to fix an insert on my e-bike for the rear rack that poped out. Probably wasn't installed correctly the first time. I have the Astro 1442 tool and installed it in less than 5 minutes including putting my tools away. Bolt fits.
