Simple and Efficient
I LOVE this pitcher for preparing syrup for my Hummingbird feeders. No more guesswork. I have 2 feeders that need to be filled weekly. Using this pitcher makes the process a "no brainer". Once I knew how much syrup my feeders used, I simply marked the pitcher on both the sugar and water sides. The design is perfect and makes the process so quick and easy to keep your feeders filled.

Nearly foolproof way to make nectar quickly and easily!
I am disabled, so even small tasks use up a large percentage of the energy I have in one day. But the hummingbirds in my backyard really improve my quality of life, so I do not want to give them up. THIS IS THE PERFECT SOLUTION.Yes, anyone can fairly easily make hummingbird nectar with just plain sugar and water (and from everything I have read, just plain sucrose from your local grocery store is actually best). But the Nectar Aid Self Measuring Pitcher makes this as easy as possible.Using the Nectar Aid Self Measuring Pitcher, I can make nectar is the time it takes to get bag of sugar out of the cupboard and to run water. That's it! My disability can at times cause confusion and reduces my short-term memory. Quite honestly, there were times I had to get back on the internet to once again get the correct ratio of sugar to water. With this it is (nearly) foolproof as the ratio is PHYSICALLY built into the pitcher itself. I say "nearly" because there are two slots for the paddle: one for hummingbirds and one for orioles. They are marked with a small "H" and "O" built into the pitcher. Either for yourself (if you are like me), or if you are getting this as a gift for a loved one, I would suggest using a permanent marker to highlight the one used most often.Another good thing about this pitcher that might not immediately come to mind, is that is not too big. This is good for three reasons. (1) It won't take up too much space in the refrigerator. (2) The 48 oz is less than a half gallon (0.375 gallon), so not too heavy for people that aren't very strong. (3) Also, in the past when I made a gallon of nectar at a time (supplying nectar to three 8 oz feeders) the nectar was starting to be contaminated with things growing in it (maybe fungus?) before I used all of it up. AND I had to look very closely at the nectar to spot these contaminants that are not healthy for the hummingbirds. Especially when you consider that once the nectar is out in your feeders with sunshine and higher temperatures these contaminants experience explosive growth!!

Best design
This product is fantastic. I utilize this container every single day since it arrived. It is a very clever design and takes the guess work out of measuring sugar to water ratio. I do not have to do any measuring. I fill my teapot with water, boil the water while filling the sugar portion side, then pour the water to match the sugar amount, pull out the divider, use the divider to still the sugar into the hot water, clean the divider and hang it in the built in top, then place in my refrigerator. That's all you need to do and you'll have fresh hummingbird solution whenever you need it. Every other day, I bring my hummingbird feeders inside, wash them, pull out this container and fill the feeders. The pouring spout is the perfect size too. Hats off to the person or team that came up with this clever design. It's wonderful!

Small
When I got the order in the mail today I was surprised by the size of the pitcher. I love the concept of the pitcher (haven't used it, no humming birds yet,) but I thought it was a regular size pitcher. I have a lot of humming bird feeders with a ton of humming birds that come every year. If you only have 4 or so feeders this would be great. The pitcher only holds 7 cups of nectar. If I would have seen the size of the pitcher then the price.....I would have just kept using a measuring cup to make the nectar. But Ill keep it for the days when I only have a little sugar left, this would make it much easier to calculate the 4 to 1 ratio.(but then again, I could still just use a measuring cup.) It lost a star because of the size and price.

Easy to use
Easy and convenient to use. Unfortunately my hummingbird population isn’t very high this year but I’m ready if they do arrive.

Almost perfect
For those who are having trouble seeing the hummingbird slot, I included a photo that clearly shows them marked on the top of the rim. If you need glasses to see the letters O & H, then the H is closer to the middle of the pitcher and the O is on the side of the pour spout. Just remember O is the outside slot. O = outside.I’m actually thankful that it’s small enough to fit in the microwave and it doesn’t melt! All in all, it works great. I don’t know if I have senior moments or what, but I have to constantly look up the ratios. Not anymore! Just pour sugar, pour water, stir with the divider, heat in the microwave, cool, then use! No fuss! What a lifesaver for busy people who still want hummingbirds to come around!

Feeding the Hummingbirds Has Never Been Easier!
This pitcher is amazing! We must be getting more and more hummingbirds because we are running out of nectar almost daily. I used to make it in a measuring cup and store it in the fridge. I was always afraid someone would knock it over and I'd have broken glass everywhere as well as a big sticky mess. Not anymore! You pour in the sugar, pour in the water, microwave, cool and store in the fridge - all in one pitcher! This works well with my tube style feeders too. No mess pouring! Plus, this pitcher holds a lot of nectar so I don't need to make it on a daily basis. I like that the sugar/water divider serves as a big spoon - I don't even need to dirty a separate spoon.

This is fantastic!
I randomly stumbled upon this. Works great to fit the exact amount of water I boil in my pan, but if you fill a bunch of feeders, might not be for you. I only do a couple and don't fill all the way, so it works for my use!The only thing is it won't fit in my fridge unless I don't store the mixer with it, because the mixer isn't' flush with the lid. And I wish the lid itself clicked on, it just lightly lays on top.

Is super easy to use
Is super easy to use, but the "O" for oriole and the "H" for hummingbird need to be more clearly marked maybe with a different color and the stirring paddle could be stronger.
