Haven't worn a cup in 20 years. Now that I'm umpiring, I needed protection behind the plate. These compression shorts are SOOO much more comfortable than the old-school style. Haven't taken any hits to test the cup yet (and hope not to), but seems to be sturdy.

The fit which is the most important to me. The cup fits in snug and keeps in place. Compression short is also comfortable and moves well.

Well made (unfortunately still poly) holds up well with many wears. Careful with commercial dryers getting to hot or you'll be ordering another. No bulge compared to similar items

Great quality. I am 5'10 and 200 lb. Pretty athletic fit. I should have gotten the extra large instead of the large. I expected it to be snug because they are compression shorts, but these are pretty darn extra tight.

I bought this as an older martial artist, to provide some compression and be able to use the cup. The material is not that thick but ticker than standard underwear. It fits per the size chart but does not provide that much compression. There is some but not what I was hoping for. The cup fits well and stays in place because of the design. However, trying to slip in the cup for a sparring session isn't that easy. You need to take the time to properly insert and adjust it so that it sits properly in the pocket/ slot that is meant for the cup.

I guess I'm just blessed with a juice caboose and full meat stick. They run very tight. You should definitely go up in size.

These are great! I began Martial Arts in the 70's and have bought a lot of different protection cups. The level of comfort and protection varied widely. My last purchase lasted about 30 days before I gave upv just too uncomfortable. I read through several Amazon reviews and decided to spend a little more and hopefully get something that would meet my needs. I am soooo glad I did. These are comfortable, provide really good protection and have the added benefit of quick cup removal if you have a detour to make on your way home from the dojo but don't want to change right away. Recommending these is an easy choice. You won't be disappointed.
