I decided to get I to needlefelting last year and began with a different kit that instructed me how to make little round kittens, so if you're beginning completely from scratch I would suggest looking up something simpler first. This was my 4th needlefelt after practicing by making three tiny cartoontly round kittens first, and was great as an introduction to using an armature and sculpting something more realistic and complicated. The only part I really struggled with was laying down the long fur as that is again a little bit more advanced.but I learned so much from this! (Beside the fox is the figure I made after I learned from this, with my own armature etc) So overall,great kit and clear instructions,with enough wool to go around, but definitely for a more intermediate level

Lovely kit but not for beginners. Instructions were 'ok'. I had to watch tutorials on YouTube to understand them fully. Some steps could have been explained in more detail, especially the face. The coat fur was hard to attach and comes out easily as very soft and fine. I ran our of wool towards the end so had to put less on to make sure I could cover the tail fully, so not as bushy as I hoped. Could be a little more generous with wool as absolutely none left at end of project so no room for errors or variations to pattern. Tail not as bushy as I would have liked. Needles cheap compared to other kits. I had to use older ones which were sharper and more effective. I used replacement 'fox' eyes for a better finish.

Very quick to be delivered. Excellent quality of materials. Instructions are excellent to follow. If you want to try something more difficult in felting then this is not going to dissapoint .
