Xbox 360 The Beatles: Rock Band Limited Edition Premium Bundle

I bought this game for my college dorm suite, which I share with five other guys. The Beatlemaniacs among us love it, and the others... Well, they tolerate it. My one complaint would be that the number of songs is a bit lower than one might hope, but the gameplay is great fun, and the story animations are fab. The instruments are also good, although the Start buttons on the drums and the bass are a bit slow to respond sometimes. Overall, though, this is definitely worth it if you want a great Beatles experience.

I wanted to love the kit so much but sadly the Hofner Bass left me disappointed. I've actually owned The Beatles Rock Band for the Playstation 3 since it came out. At first I used my Guitar Hero guitar with the game. I loved the game so much, I purchased the Gretsch-Duo Jet guitar which is fashioned after George Harrison's guitar. It fit me like a glove. I can go a long time with it. Feels great. The Beatles Rock Band Limited Edition comes with Paul McCartney's Hofner Bass which just feel uncomfortable to me (the neck is just too long), especially when playing it for a while. My left arm hurts after a while of playing. I wish I could trade in the Hofner Bass for another Gretsch-Duo Jet. I moved onto the other equipment. The instructions are a bit weak but it wasn't that hard to figure out. Also, the keys are not perfectly flat on my Hofner Bass. It looks like they really skimped on the QA for my unit. Sad really since my Gretsch-Duo Jet felt like top quality when I first purchased it.The drums are pretty nice. I don't know if it is different from the Rock Band guitar but I remember my foot would get tired when I played with my friend's Rock Band 2 drums. The pedal feels better. Response is great. I admit. I am not a pro when it comes to drums but as far as fun factor is concerned, I like it a lot.The microphone is a Logitech microphone rebranded as a Rock Band microphone. It's nice. I was actually surprised the microphone stand was better build quality than I expected. It has a lot of weight which means you microphone will not tip over easily when placed on the stand.The song selection is pretty good. It has the most popular Ringo songs which is good because the songs Ringo sings in are songs which all four Beatles members sings...great songs to use when you have a party with lots of vocalists.The graphics are beautifully done, especially songs which contain dreamscapes. It feels like you are inside of the Beatles dreams. I am not sure if the songs used in the game are the latest remastered ones but they do sound great when connected to a nice home theater receiver. I think what I enjoy best is that it appeals to so many different people because of the Beatles. My wife likes it (she is not into video games), my friends like it and my parents like it.The one feature I do like about the Xbox 360 version over the PS3 version is that on the PS3, I need to use a USB wireless dongle whereas on the Xbox 360, it is not needed. One less thing to connect and also one less thing to lose. I highly recommend this package. I just wish MTV would have included George Harrison's guitar instead of Paul McCartneys.Highly recommended except for the guitar.

The Beatles Rock Band is a very fun game involving the entire family. The music we can all relate to. The only problem we have encountered is with the guitar included with the game. We find that certain movements tend to somehow push the connect button and in the middle of the game it will disconnect. I think the positioning of the on off button and connect button are in a bad position and can easily be bumped. We have another guitar from Guitar Hero that works fine and has no problems. I had been looking for a good priced version of Rock Band bundles ever since I house sat for a fellow church member and he owned this game. I did nothing but play Rock Band that entire week. Well, 6 months later I finally had enough extra cash to pick up this baby along with the Rickenbacker 325 wireless controller. (I wanted the Gretsch because George Harrison is one of my favorite guitarists but it's too expensive.) So, my girlfriend and I decided to pick up this version since we are both Beatle Fanatics and I can honestly say I have not regretted doing so. Everything looks amazing and game play is very smooth. This bundle comes with a mic stand, which is really helpful when doing those 3 part harmonies, McCartney's Bass replica controller and a Rock Band drums controller modeled after Ringo's Ludwig kit. The Drums are my favorite part even though I usually only played guitar. The drums are an upgraded design from the ones I've played and are more durable and feature a plastic ring around each head so that you can hit the sides and it still count for a beat. Very good purchase and I highly recommend that anyone who likes the Beatles to get this. Even if you don't, get it for the controllers as the are better than most and then you can just go pick up some stand alone copies of 1, 2 or 3.

Didn’t include the actual game cd. Seems like that would be an important thing to include.

Looks like they pushed making this game, not well organized, and not much creativity to the game play.

This is the most fun i have ever had with a video game. My wife and I wanted to get rock band 3 for christmas, but couldn't find any great bundles with guitars mic and drums for very cheap. so we got this and added a $25 cymbal expansion and honestly, this game has been more enjoyable that rb3 ( we had to open our presents early :). Such a great game, amazing graphics. I use the cymbals on this game too and it is amazing. I absolutely love it and recommend it for everyone.

I bought this as a new item and the box was a little beat up, however my friend did not seem to care. He loves the Beatles. His friend started out by making fun of him but was converted by the game. I myself have played it on easy and liked the game. The Premium bundle comes with a guitar, drums and mic which on occasion are all in use. This game is good for one person, great for a group, and has no violence(which some people are bothered by). If you like the Beatles' music you will love this game. If you don't have a clue you'll still like it-it grows on you.
