My Carbon Combo Case and Holster for LG Lucid VS840, Black

After dealing with some sub-par cheap-o-s, I sprung for this case. Here are the some things on which a potential buyer might need a "heads-up:"This case is much more white in color than it appears here. From the front, it is almost all white, with a little bit of black on the sides. It doesn't make for a white-looking phone, mind you, but rather gives of a sort of Star Wars Imperial Storm Trooper vibe. I really like it. This case is also available here on Amazon in blue, red, black and maybe yellow from what I saw. Look around.The clip-case seems sturdy enough, but the clip spring is just a bent-over piece of metal (not an actual spring) so it may wear out. The phone does NOT fit in the case face-out, which sort of sucks. The fit on mine is VERY snug, and although it is new and may break-in, I have almost to use two hands to pry the phone free without risking unclipping the case. I don't plan on using the clip-case.The soft, rubber inner sleeve part of the assembly is very thin, but well-protected by the outer hard, black casing that wraps around it. That black casing is also thin around the edges, but seems strong enough once popped into place.The white rubber is a bit harder and less tacky than my old cases, although it does feel like it has some kind of micro-texture. This is NOT the rubber case that will keep your phone up on the dashboard around a corner. The black plastic is also smooth, making this phone a too bit slippery for my taste. Overall, the feel is much more hard case than soft.Finally, as with all three Lucid cases I've owned, the kick-stand on the back is oriented so that the phone can be propped-up horizontally. A cool feature for videos and such. The problem is, that stand is placed in such a direction that both the charging port and the volume controls end up on the bottom side. In other words, you can't charge the phone or easily adjust the volume with the stand in operation. With the 360 capability of the phone, this mystifies me. Why not point the stand the other direction? Anyone?All-in-all, I'm happy. Rugged and understated with just a bit of style, and with the splash of white, I can find it in the dark now! :)Peace

I work at a golf course so there are many ways of destroying a phone. I chose this case because it provided the best protection for my LG Lucid. So far as I have analyzed it. It should do fairly well at protecting most of the phone. It's not an Otterbox Defender but it should do the job. I liked the silicone inner case to seal the phone from small debris such as sand and grass from getting into the phone. Definitely like the kickstand and the belt clip.Two flaws, that I can deal with, are the phone cannot be put into the case with the screen facing out and you can't charge the phone with the phone in the clip because the edge won't allow the plug to go in all the way. Solution for the charger is to take a Dremel and open up the area more for the plug to go into the phone. Not having the screen face out at anytime isn't a huge worry because it's meant to protect the screen while on your waist.Overall, I would definitely suggest this case if you want something somewhat substantial to protect your phone and not having to break the bank to afford a little protection.

OK, i wanted to make a review on this product because i bought it because of the reviews. But i first need to list the cons of the product:CON: When using the kickstand, you can not charge the phone, if the kick stand was the other way, it would be fine, however i did not take a star away because i was aware of this before i bought the product.Pros1. Installing this case took less then a minute.2. Kickstand is very nice3. The way it sits in the holster is is nice(draw back, but not a con; The holster covers the screen, but it does product the screen like that.4. The case fits good.5. the hard plastic shell around the Gel shell for that extra little bit of protection is really nice.All the holes are in the right place6.

Have had this for several days and am very happy...especially given the price. Was easy to get on, once I figured out to put the silicone skin on first and then snap into case. Added some bulk, but not much and can still slide into front pocket. I likely will not use the holster, but nice to have. The stand is a bit hard to deploy - you just have to pull on it, which makes me think it might break, but so far has worked well. I have not dropped the phone yet, but the product feels like it would offer good protection.

This is a great product. Totally worth the money and not any more/less than I expected. The gel skin and the hard case both went on easily. I honestly only bought the product for the pop out stand, but love the sleek-ish case and the belt clip too. I didn't figure I'd even use the belt clip upon purchasing but am sure I will on travels and hikes now that I see just how well it would protect the phone. Not sure the materials are "high quality" like an Otter, but if you've got an LG Lucid like I do, you probably wont find a better all around case/stand/belt clip combo. As for the pop-out stand... it was a little tough to open the first time (almost thought I was going to break it), but it quickly became very easy to open/close. PLUS! It is a great price.

OK.First thing that attracted me to this case was cost. It's way cheaper than what I anticipated spending. The build is good, and my phone feels very well protected. I only have two issues with the case.1- the volume buttons are kind of difficult to navigate with them covered up. I'm sure practice will remedy this.2- I broke the belt clip like the second day I used it. My fault, so no arguments.All in all, I was very happy. The item showed up earlier than anticipated, and the price was right.Would definitely buy again.
