The Berkshire Watch : A Smartwatch Fully Compatible with Android and Iphone

Update: I originally gave this 2 stars just for the fact that it was still a usable watch with other functions. See my pros and cons below. I am now down grading to 1 star because I can't get it any lower than that. I did not use the watch over the weekend. I just had it sit on my dresser plugged in. When I put it on Monday morning, I realized the time was 20 minutes fast over a matter of days. Since the main function of a watch is to tell time, I cannot recommend this watch at any level to anyone.Also note, like anything electronic, you would think there could be a software or firmware update. I've googled everywhere on information on the "The Berkshire Watch" and cannot find anywhere that information on this watch let alone get any software updates. Stay clear of this product or buyer beware!-------------------------------------------------------PROS:• Of all the smart watches I’ve looked at, this was the cheapest that had the push capability for iPhone like email, text, Facebook, etc.• The “capability” to work is there.CONS:• You have to download a third party app to get the ability to push notifications. Wouldn’t be so bad but the app is a Chinese (I think) app that appears to be used as a GPS for exercising. You do not even have to use the app, just enable it which by the way means you have to sign up for an account. Putting in your country code for your cell number should raise some flags but I did it anyway.• The user’s guide tells you were to go get the app. However it is not a location available for the iPhone. If you try to follow the link on Safari, it will not recognize the file you are downloading. You need to find the app mentioned in my previous bullet but it does not tell you what app you are downloading. When I saw the Chinese app for GPS, I didn’t think that was the correct app. I had to google a lot to figure it out. User’s guide was not very helpful in setting it up.• You have to enable Bluetooth on your iPhone twice. Once to connect the device, the other to enable the push via the 3rd party app. That wouldn’t be so bad if it stayed connected. Without splitting up my watch or my cell (3 feet apart), I still lose connection throughout the day. It does not reconnect automatically which is a pain. I wanted the watch for the notification capability but my watch misses 75% of the notifications because the connection drops without me knowing.• The user’s guide that comes with the watch is almost microscopic. I admit I could use reading glasses but never have to for regular print (books, newspaper, computer). But this guide I had to use a magnifying glass.Conclusion: Although the watch does have all of the capability it describes, the ability to sustain connection to benefit the function cancels out the benefits. I now have a nice watch that can monitor my sleep if I choose to wear the watch to sleep. I wanted the push notifications. My recommendation is to find a better smart watch for use with the iPhone. If you find one, let me know. This one will be packed up and going back.

this is a good watch for a young person who has ANDROID! IF YOU HAVE APPLE, SAVE YOUR MONEY AND DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!!WHY YOU SHOULD'NT BUY THIS IF YOU HAVE A APPLE:1. Does not allow you to send messages2. Bluetooth disconnects 3feet from phone3. does not take pictures,4. You only get notifications of messages, CAN'T use message feature to actually look at the whole messages.ANDROID USERS: This is a good smart watch for you. Why?1. You will be able to send and receive messages2. make phone calls3. Less expensive that other smart watches.4. DOES NOT have camera but DOES offer remote picture taking.Overall I give this Smart Watch a 3 out of 5 stars

product worked great for 3 days and died in the Arizona heat. Guess this watch its built for Arizona weather LCD screen went out and the watch no longer turns on. it was good why'll it lasted

I returned it. Complicated instructions, written in the smallest font possible. Difficult to program. Confusing set up. Does not have any features that one needs if you have an iPhone. Maybe better with android.

Such a great watch! I have an android phone and was jealous of the apple smart watch, but this one is so much better and works with my phone. I can connect it to all my apps, so I get facebook and twitter notifications on it, and my phone so I can make a receive calls from it, which is super convenient. It has all these extra cool features, like the fitness tracker, sleep monitor, etc. The best feature though is the one that tracks how close/far you are from your phone -- I misplace my phone all the time but with this watch it let's me know when I'm leaving my phone somewhere! So useful for me. All in all great watch, it has everything I need!

I love this watch! I already own a couple of smart watches and this is one of my favorite purchases. It look great and is super useful: I mostly love that I can track my physical performance, receive all my messages, FB, whatsapp and all other app's notifications instantly and that I can receive my calls and talk without having to put a phone to my ear at all. I was skeptical at first about this last feature, but it's actually great: the acoustic is spotless, you can adjust the volume to satisfaction and it doesn't burn the watch's battery life. Highly recommend that you gave it a try!

This is indeed a smartwatch! I love how it is unique and fits right into my busy lifestyle, I can open my fb app from while taking a jog, or even have a skype time with a friend, all right there from my wrist! It has all these amazing features, some I have yet to use, but excited to! It helps me with my weight loss goal by tracking the miles i've walked or ran. It overall is perfect for everyday life. It syncs to your Android or iPhone and gives you many options to choose from. I am soo happy my hubby got me this for Christmas :)
