Excellent fit for a "not-shaped-like-a-lab" dog!
Love it. 3 buckles + many points of adjustment + not having to slip a closed loop over this guy's head are the best features. An unexpected bonus is that the colored dorsal (back) strap is made of a webbing that is strong, but soft for less chance of a hand burn when using it as an emergency handle during a lunging episode. (If you have multiple nylon webbing leashes, you know the difference. They look alike, but some are perpetually stiff and just painful. This webbing is excellent.) And MADE IN THE USA? Wow. Worth a few extra dollars right there. And it's a quality harness. This collie dog is very long bodied and lean, but deep-chested and with a smallish neck, so most harnesses are far too loose near the head, too short on the back, and can chafe his armpits. The typical padded harness is also too fat between his front legs. I want a harness that clears the whole shoulder blade for free movement, but with clip options on both chest and back. I want a harness that can't be wriggled out of. I'd honestly prefer padded for most uses, but we also need a webbing harness for swimming and certain sports. Boy, this balance harness is terrific for all that.Yes, the dorsal (back) strap does slide around while walking, as mentioned by some reviewers, but that's expected for a harness that is not giving structure, but rather fitting a dog's moving body. The portion that goes around the neck needs to slide, too, right? And of course this does. Not a problem. For me, the sliding issue is just aesthetics you can get used to, and expected especially with a design that has one encirclement of the torso. A webbing harness is naturally going to provide a different experience than a more structured, somewhat stiff padded harness that brings its own architecture. Some readers will understand the imperfect analogy of a bralette versus padded underwire. Which is better? Preference.Having just the dorsal strap colored works for me. A flash of pretty, but much easier for me to work out what goes where. I'd be in a lot of trouble with just one color. One reviewer mentioned no instructions. I sympathize with anyone confused by buckles and straps, because I have great difficulty figuring such things out. But I thought the illustrated "Fitting Tips" tag that came attached to my harness to be super-helpful. Blue-9 also has a couple of very clear videos on their website and YouTube with titles like "How to Properly Fit Your Balance Harness." Worth checking out.Mr. Slinky Dog's favorite part? He says it's just terrific being kitted up for a walk without having to be brave and stick his head into a thing.

Love this harness
I have purchased this harness twice. One in red and one in sky blue. I purchased the first one almost a year ago and when I adopted a second dog this was the harness I went to for him as well.I love tha adjustability of this harness. It fits both of my dogs very well and does not inhibit their movement in any way. The materiels are high quality and the adjustment points will not come lose as the dog moves. The neck buckle is really helpful for my blind shiba inu who can sometimes get worked up about getting his harness on or off. I love the adjustability of this harness as I could get a great comfortable fit for the dogs without anything having to be very tight on them.I know many wish for a solid color harness but I find that having that one splash of color is not only nice but is very helpful when you go to put this harness on. It helps you figure out which way is up pretty easily, making the harnessing process faster and simpler. The only things I would say are negatives are the price which is a bit steep for someone with my income but to me worth it. Also I have mentioned in the past and will say again that reflective materiel of some sort should be included in any product meant for walking dogs. Neither of these take away from my overall satisfaction though so this product gets 5 stars and is one of my favorite things for dogs.I also wonder if a smaller lighter version would be excellent for cats.

Stays in place, like that it snaps around neck
Our pup likes this way more than traditional harnesses that go over the head. Her head is quite large compared to her neck so the ability to clip and unclip without it going over her head is nice. I also like that you can attach the leash To the front or back. One of our dogs pulls and the other does not so we do different places. I appreciate that the back strap stays in the middle of the back, some harnesses loop and will drop to one side or the other, which I feel is unsafe and uncomfortable.

Great for my small dog
I got this harness in x-small for my 11lb terrier-chihuahua mix. He has long legs and a long skinny body like a deer chihuahua, and he has lots of action in his shoulders and a high step when he trots, so this harness is perfect because it doesn't restrict his movement. It also fits well on his body. There's enough distance between the neck and body straps to fit his shape really well. The only thing is, the buckles are REALLY hard to adjust. I needed to pull them out all the way (he's just at the top of the x-small size) and getting those things to move was extremely difficult. But I managed, because the harness is totally worth the struggle otherwise. Another note is, if you attach a leash to the back loop, the leash clasp tends to bounce on the dogs spine. I didn't like this, so I made a small extension out of a shoelace, tied it to the back loop, and attached the leash to that so the clasp can hang at his side. WORKS PERFECTLY. So, overall I love this harness and knock a star just for the difficulty in adjusting the buckles.

Works for us
I like how many adjustment points there are. The harness will shift when front-clipped if our dog is trying to pull. However, we are able to size it so even when it shifts, it's not rubbing on her. This has significantly reduced her pulling. I also like that you don't need to put it on over her head since there are so many clips. I wish our other harness (for a different dog) was like that. The only thing I don't like is the price point. I'm sure there's just as effective options out there that are more affordable.

Comfortable for my dog, easy to fit.
This harness was recommended by my dog’s behaviourist. I needed a harness that gave plenty of space round my dog’s shoulders but was kind to the back (my Doberman had spinal surgery 18 months ago). I can recommend this harness, and so can my dog. It is light, comfortable but secure and strong.

Love this harness! Completely worth the price
This harness is very lightweight and fits my dog in the right places. I have a portuguese water dog with long wavy coat so it's also important that the harness doesn't tangle his hair. We have been using this for months and still looks like new and dog seems super comfortable in it! Using the front hook also improved his pulling. Worth the buy!

Comfortable, strong and choice between front- & back latch.
This has become our favourite harness! It’s so light and comfortable yet strong. For our dog’s training we use the front latch and on a normal walk the back one. Highly recommend!
