Beyond my expectations!!!
I have been looking for a new spreader for several months. I was a little hesitant with this one since there were reviews, but I am so glad I purchased anyway. The unit is easy to assemble and they include the tools for you!! The pictures in the instructions could be larger for those of us with worsening eyes sight, but everything was easy to understand. Further, I was super impressed with the quality. The powder-coated steel frame is excellent. Once you tighten all of the bolts up correctly, this is one solid machine. The operation is easy and smooth, and has all of the grease fittings so you can have years of use from it. I would compare this against the top spreaders from Lesco, Chapin, and Spyker. Very happy with the buy and will certainly get a lot of use from this product!!

Ok if you are Hulk Hogan
Although this is pretty well built, its so heavy there is no way you can push it with 100lb of material in it. I had trouble pushing up hill when the hopper had more than about 30lbs in it.My real product problem was the open/close lever. It only has 4 positions, giving you limited adjust-ability of the flow. I found position 2 was not enough and position 3 to be too much. Also, in the closed position, it was not totally closed, so if you are spreading fine material some may leak through the opening. There is a little adjustability during the assembly for this issue, but not enough to solve the problem.

Greese fittings on the wheels.
I purchased this and there was some parts missing, the company was very easy to work with and overnighted me the parts. Once I got everything together I was impressed. I really like the large hopper and there is greese fittings on the wheels, which is a huge plus. In my opinion it's as solid as a $500 Lesco, however the adjustment lever is not very precise. If you own a company and have to keep track of how much you put down, you're going to have to calibrate it the old fashioned way. All in all I'd say this is a good spreader for someone who has a large yard or is doing medium to light duty commercial work with it. Haven't had it long enough to see how the gears hold up.
