it works like it sounds and is pretty durable , dropped it off the bed open a few times and it just kinda shrugs off like an old N64 console but if you try to move it with a laptop on it it creaks and groans, pretty loud too IT MAKES LOUD NOISES. NOT RECOMMENDED if you plan on useing your laptop while someones trying to sleep next to you, the noises are loud enough to wake light sleepers and dogs it works great the little PLASTIC TABS they give you are great if you dont LOSE them and dont get annoyed always having to put them on and take them off when you store the tray ,what would be great is if this had a slide out keyboard on the side and if the tray was covered in some rubber stuff so you wouldent need plastic tabs. I HIGHLY recommend this to people who sit in their beds and use laptops, whoever you may be this type of product is for you not super easy to adjust but as long as you can press a button and have 2 hands free then you can set this table to ANY angle you want making it ideal for bed usage keeping your laptop off your lap where it doesent belong and allowing it to breath not being smothered by your pants/ blankets surrounding it keeping your laptop cool-exbedtop gamer-

Like the shelf being aluminum for sake of heat exchange from my MacBook Pro. Legs are plastic, but so far work ok. they make the unit light weight. Hoping they don't break over time. Buttons on legs to change the angle work pretty fair and they are metal.This offers many configuration options, but I have found only a couple that work well for me. Using it on couches is a bit tough as most couch's cushions break right where the support legs of this want to go, so they drop down in the couch or least make it unstable. Its too wide to use on chairs.Thought the config to make it a small floor stand/table for a laptop/pad would be handy. However, when configured as such, its too short to put the shelf over my lap. Additionally, with no cross bracing, its too wobbly to use.Giving it a 3 star cus it is working fine for a couple usual configuration options for my use. If it breaks, I will be back to down rate it. I think all the similar brands will turn out to have the same +/- features.

It is much too cumbersome to use. You can never get the legs in the right position as there are few angles which you can lock them into. Plus you have to start with the outer most leg segment and move each one in order to get to the inner leg segment. The legs are too short to use with a chair as you would a TV tray/table and so poor that the tray wiggles all over the place. Speaking of the tray, it is good and solid aluminum, but so slick that everything you place on it slips off at the slightest movement (even with the little lip on the front). The two that I ordered are now in the trash, as I disassembled one in hopes of making the legs longer on the remaining one. I did easily accomplish this, but it was like a house of cards and swayed from side to side. They both ended up in the recycling bin and I have purchased a sturdy TV table for my needs.

I read every review before purchasing and was aware if the cons. Ordered anyway. It arrived on time and in good condition, well packaged. There weren't any directions for use (it came assembled) but I soon discovered how to use it. Each leg-joint moves separately and has to be adjusted independently, but it has markings on the joint so that you can match each side if you are wanting equal adjustment. The legs are plastic and could easily be damaged, so I would recommend care in handling. The platform is metal and has a lip to hold the computer on when tipped. The metal is very slick, so it required a non-slip shelving product which I secured with double sided tape. I am wanting to use this while traveling and will edit this review after I have used this product for a while.

I was hesitate on purchasing due to the price not knowing if another type of stand would be better.It turns out I picked the perfect one.If you're looking for a laptop table with a fan then this is not the one.Mine came without one but appears that it really doesn't need one since it's sitting at all times just as if it were on a computer desk/table yet this definitely is better that your laptop going on your lap or bed.According to some techs I have spoken to says that is the worse thing that you can do to your laptop-is to place it on a bed,couch etc.It gets no air causing it to overheat,IT MUST HAVE AIR.Well, this table solves that problem allowing YOUR lap to remain cool no matter what position you're in.

Exactly what I needed. It would have been 5 starts but 3 issues:1/3 star off: The bottom legs are plastic, no rubber bottoms so on my tile floor the unit has little traction.1/3 star off: Unit is wonderfully adjustable but at full extension, it wobbles laterally. Thankfully my laptop is light.1/3 star off: Height: Thought it would be taller at full extension. At max, its perfect for using while sitting at toilet height. If used with a computer chair, you will be slouching over. Overall a great product for its value. My issues are not major and hence I took off very little for each issue.
