Assembly is hard unless you fix the spring
You must attach the spring loaded top before screwing in the pole to secure the bottom frame, just as the instructions say. The other way round will not work. What I did change successfully was to cut the spring in half. That enabled a successful assembly. The full spring was too much pressure and kept pulling the top frame off and collapsing the column.

Cheap materials
It’s a nice display but cheaply made. One of the legs on the top support bracket snapped off during assembly. Definitely not worth $99.As others have said, the lamp is not bright enough for reading. Use it as a decorative piece.

Very cool!
Looks great! The main drawback is that the lights are not that bright (with the black covering) unfortunately, but they provide a really cool ambiance at night. I'd recommend two for each room to get the vibe really going with these. Also, where to buy replacement bulbs when these go out?

Beautiful Corner Lamp
Love the brightness and the remote usage. It was a challenge to put together. Overall I love it.
