Colorado rhodonite is a natural gemstone admired for its wide range of color and distinctive dark markings. Stone color can range from a very pale, almost white, pink to a deep dark pink almost mauve in appearance. The characteristic black manganese oxide markings of Colorado rhodonite can appear as a single inconspicuous speck, as a moderate sprinkling of dark spots, or as a prominent concentration of markings that color the stone almost entirely black.
