Foundations of Sniper Marksmanship

This book goes over the fundamentals of accurate shooting and gives a few tips even experienced shooters like me can use. I highly recommend this for anyone who wants to learn how to shoot well instead of being just another tacticool clown who can't hit a mansized target at 50 yards without a benchrest.

Fifty plus years from those long ago days that I first competed smallbore and the fundamentals have not changed. This book made me change my training from under 10% standing offhand to over 50% and increasing. Train up your weaknesses!

This is a great book to start out with for sniper marksmanship. It even goes way past that statement as it’s let’s rifle shooters know more than most would ever learn in a school. Mr Simpson is a very interesting author with a “to the point” way of getting the knowledge across. Will buy his next book for sure.

This book is a good refresher on the basics, and touches some advanced topics of marksmanship. I recommend to any shooter of all levels. There are many pictures included to held comprehension.

Not very impressive. Guidance is simple and not any more informative than other cheaper publications.

Some of the material is dated, but is completely applicable still today.

More about what police dole out to miscreants in the states. Having read this on holiday I can see that police forces over the pond must be pretty good at this role. So if you're a bad guy over there, think on old love before you do something silly.

Lots of useful information here and I learned quite a bit, although it was shorter than I was expecting. Lots exercises to try out
