I am pretty skilled at putting together IKEA-esk stuff. Not this one. First, I don't know what the bench is made of, but I stripped almost all of the brass screws and had to buy replacement. Second I didn't have enough strength to get the screws completely in. I had a friend come over, a friend who is pretty strong, and he had problems too , even with a heavy duty power drill. Finally it takes at least two people to assemble the parts that need to be screwed together. Unless you want to spend the extra money to have it put together by the experts, you should avoid this bench.On the plus side, it is nice looking and works well.
