Working at a high end stereo shop for a couple of years you pretty much learn early on that just about any wire that's metal content is high quality is going to sound good.The problem is making sure that the manufacturer that your cable is from is actually using good material. This product was kind of a shot in the dark but it looks to be as good as anything you'd find from the guys at the Big Box stores, although much less fancy covering and ends.It included everything I needed to install a single 10" Pioneer in my wifes Mazda 2.

It's all hooked up to my 1000watt amp an my 2 12 inch jl audios an they slam in my focus!!

Very low quality wire. Got it for a JL 250 and when I removed it from the box, seen how thin the wires were, no way I will use this. One of the prongs for the RCA was hanging on with one wire. Tossed it and considered it a loss.

Bought this trying to be fiscally responsible, even though I read the other reviews. I'm installing a powered sub w/ a 200w amp and this will work. BUT, do not for one second believe this is a true 8 gauge amp kit. Perhaps the OUTSIDE DIAMETER of the power & ground wire is 8 gauge, but the actual wire is not even close. I've been installing all kinds of stereo systems in my cars and friends cars for 25yrs as well as had a professional do an install, so I definitely know what 8 gauge looks like and what quality looks like (JL, Focal, Pioneer Premier, JBL, Rockford, Kenwood, Alpine, MTX, etc).The speaker wire is super thin, but I'm using it as a line-level input so not too concerned; my stock car speaker wire is probably 2x as thick. The speaker wire is also barely enough to go from my spare tire to each rear door (small SUV) so don't kid yourself that you're going to wire the whole car with it.The fuse holder is super brittle and the plastic cracked upon installation but was salvageable. Comically, they provide a huge fuse for amperage that these wires will never be able to sustain - my powered sub has its own fuse so it doesn't bother me.If you're installing a 200w amp and smaller perhaps this will work for you too, but I wouldn't buy this again...troubleshooting an install is not worth the $50 you're saving from a higher quality kit.

the wire in this kit is no where near 8G power wire, the plastic around the 12G wire that you will get makes the wire inside look way bigger, now the ground wire it too was just 12G wire nothing special just keep in mind that generally you would want an 8G power matched with a 6G ground this kit gives you 12G in every piece.
