Incredible value for the money, Fantastic results!
In terms of record cleaning methods and machines, there is no doubt that ultrasonic cleaning is considered the best technology available for getting vinyl records as clean as possible. In terms of the machines on the market, on one end there are the ones costing thousands of dollars, made/marketed by companies dedicated to serving the audiophile community; on the other are the low-cost ultrasonic baths that are designed for general cleaning purposes, to which a universal fitting is attached to hold the records for cleaning. In-between are the machines from iSonic, with performance that is every bit as good as those machines costing thousands of dollars, in a machine that has features and ergonomics you can’t get from a cheaper general-purpose machine. That the iSonic machines resemble a popular “vinyl restoration” machine that costs 3 times as much is no coincidence; iSonic uses the same exact base machine as that “audiophile” model uses. However, here the iSonic improves on that model by allowing you to clean up to 10 records at once (the more expensive brands don’t let you clean more than two 12” records, with most only letting you clean one at a time) which is a huge advantage for anyone that has a lot of dirty records and enjoys hitting the pre-owned record shops/market. The iSonic machine itself is clad in a housing that allows for a very well-designed motor and spindle assembly that holds the records extremely securely and rotates them at a very consistent speed during the cleaning process. Loading and un-loading the records is very easy and quick, and the package comes with high-quality spacers that seal and protect the record label from the water bath. Spacers are also included should you only need to clean a record or two. The quality of the iSonic machine is extremely good. Many lower cost machines use wall-wart power supplies that many doubt could provide the power needed for true ultrasonic cleaning; the iSonic has a robust internal power supply that not only provides enough power to the transducers for true ultrasonic cleaning, but also for degass and water bath heating functions. The unit comes packaged with everything you need to get started, including a very good quality surfactant solution (used to help break surface tension for more effective cleaning), a box of lint-free drying wipes and a drainage hose. I got the machine set-up and running in about 15 minutes. I was able to clean 25 records in the first hour I had my machine running, including an original pressing of The Cure’s “Standing on a Beach” from 1986. That record came out cleaner than it did from the factory…playing it, it was absolutely quiet, without any of the pops and clicks that a record this old should’ve had. In terms of cleaning performance, you really couldn’t ask for more, especially for the price. The iSonic’s transducers pulse at an industry standard 35KHz, which is great for getting down into the grooves of the record and getting the gunk and dirt out of them. Where ultrasonic-only machines like the iSonic will struggle is on records that are extremely dirty and/or have mold. I’m keeping my SpinClean to use as a mechanical pre-treatment step, before using the iSonic to finish the cleaning process. For this reason, I can only give 4-Stars for the Sound Quality rating…there will be some records that using the iSonic just by itself won’t truly get the job done. But 90% of the time, the iSonic will be all you need and the results will be incredible. So, all-in, with the iSonic you are getting all the performance of record cleaning machines costing thousands of dollars, in a unit that allows you to clean more records per session. You also get everything you need to start cleaning your records, in one box…instead of piecing things together with the cheaper, potentially less powerful, units. The iSonic is a great buy, but it performs even better!

Excellent Cleaner that Produces Great Results!
I did extensive research into ultrasonic record cleaners after deciding to upgrade from my vacuum record cleaning machine. Review after review listed the Isonic at the top of the heap. Yes it is more expensive than many of the other units, but even looking at the photos made it apparent that it is a much more robust unit. When I unpacked it, it was immediately apparent that it was an extremely well designed and built unit, especially the addons that turn the commercial grade cleaner into a record cleaner. Setup was easy and I had cleaned several LPs, 45s and 78s in just a few hours. I also ordered the extension rod that lets me clean 10 records at a time and since I have an extensive 45 collection, I also ordered the 45 unit. I'm really glad I got the 45 unit because it does such a good job. The results of cleaning has been even better than I expected. The overall impression is that the records are getting a lot cleaner compared to my vacuum RCM. It's like a veil has been lifted from the music, with the highs more detailed and the bass better defined. I had read about similar results, but I was skeptical. I'm now a believer. If you have an extensive collection and crate dig like me, this is a worthy investment. The workflow is much faster than my vaccuum RCM and the results are beyond my expectations!

Works very well but definitely pricey.
I bought this primarily to clean my shellac 78 RPM records although I have also used it for my vinyl LP 33 1/3 RPM records. While the description claims it will clean both, for 78s you have to fill the tank to the absolute top so be careful not to jostle the unit or you might leak water into the cabinet. My other complaint is that the spacers provided to protect the record label can actually cover part of the recording on a 78 if it's a longer song (grooves closer to the center hole). With that said, it does do a fantastic job of removing debris. I run my 78s through three 15 minute passes and they come out WAY better. Big difference in the sound quality after cleaning. So if you've got $800+ bucks to spend and a bunch of dirty records, this is the machine for you.

Lack of support, but a solid unit
The unit works great, still going strong. I just want to share why I rated 3 stars and it is mainly because of support and the complete lack thereof. I have been emailing for months trying to buy a replacement handle for the water drain. I have sent multiple emails and have always been assured that they will get to my request. I am outside of the warrant period and I just want to buy a handle. They don't offer one on their website and I can't find a suitable replacement. Requests are just ignored so be warned everyone, if you buy this unit and need to buy a replacement, they will simply ignore your requests. Well, they won't ignore the request, but they will never bother to help, even though they keep saying they will.

My Very Highest Recommendation
This ultrasonic cleaner does a very good job cleaning records that are not filthy - for that pre-cleaning needs to be done. This is true for all USC (ultrasonic cleaners). Cleaning 10 records at a time is a great convenience and the system works quite well. Four of the label protectors as delivered were missing rubber o-rings. A call to Isonic and they replaced them immediately. Another question I had was answered immediately also. I limit to 4 stars mainly because I feel that there is some room for improvement with the machine - but these are not major. Main one is control of bath temperature for record cleaning. Lowest setting is 104F degrees - too high for records. I heat bath to 90-95 degrees and turn it off. Bath remains near that temp for 10 minute cleaning. Also, I do not recommend the cleaning fluid as sent with unit. Though more complicated, I make my own as outlined on various internet sites including on Arthur Salvatore at his High End Audio pages under Ultrasonic. I do recommend this unit to anyone wanting to get the best cleaning and best sound from their records. This was the BIG and GOOD surprise for me about USC - the LPs properly cleaned this way SOUND MUCH BETTER. I wish the machine was not so expensive, but in my experienced opinion compared to alternatives this complete package is a very worthwhile investment. ***** 1/5/2020***** Addendum: About 4 months in and nearly 500 records cleaned. There is a bit of a learning curve to getting the best out of the ultrasonic cleaning process - do & learn. Machine and accessories are holding up just fine. I've used a vacuum type VPI machine with various cleaning fluids for many years (still use the VPI in a rinse process) but the bottom line is that LPs cleaned by this machine SOUND BETTER than those done via scrub and vacuum process. That FACT means a whole lot to this audiophile/music lover. I recommend this machine as a very good value - if you value your records and how they sound., **** 8/82021**** Over a thousand LPs cleaned. This machine is working PERFECTLY and looks brand new. It’s built like a tank... well it IS mostly a tank. 😁 **** 7/17/23 **** Well OVER 1500 records cleaned and my unit is operating PERFECTLY and receives my HIGHEST recommendation. .👍👍👍👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

It works, it works, it works!
Expensive yes, but what are your albums worth to you? And sounding they way they played right out of the original sleeve? I’m being totally honest, my records are putting out music I haven’t heard for years. Until you use this ultrasonic cleaner, you just don’t realize that the years of build-up have stolen the fidelity from your music. Records come out glossy and looking new, period. The cleaner can’t fix damage from drops, scratching, or damage from a crappy stylus, but it sure as hell can get ALL of the grit and grime out of the grooves and leave you with a smile. It’s crazy money, but worth every penny if you are serious about the quality of play you get from your music system. I’d give it 10 stars if I could! Pros: everything I said above. Cons: You still have to do the work, loading, unloading and drying. I use distilled winter and a spray bottle for rinsing, and just air dry. Works great.

The Cat's Meow
I want to thank the individuals who responded to my questions, very helpful. I seldom write reviews as I believe them to be subjective by nature. I feel that the build quality and features of this item and the opportunity to assist fellow audiophiles make the effort worthwhile. I own two other ultrasonic units which I use for firearms and miscellaneous items. I additionally tested two other ultrasonic record cleaners. This is a high quality very user friendly unit and the sound quality of the cleaned vinyl is definitely superior to any other cleaning process I have previously used. High end and midrange in particular is much cleaner and more open. I can often play the record at a two to three step lower volume. Overall I couldn't be happier and cleaning ten records at a time is a God send. As with all ultrasonic units, I recommend levelling the device. I purchased an 11"x17" cutting board and self adhesive stereo component spikes from Amazon...ten minute project plus adjustment time. I heat the unit to 87 degrees using a remote aquarium thermometer, degas and shut down the heater. The unit maintains a approximately 88-89 degrees during cleaning. Heating the solution does seem to improve cleaning. After a rinse cycle I dry the vinyl with a low end manual record vac I bought years ago. I believe it is superior to air drying. My son, the anal one, told me to state that this is not a paid endorsement.

Always amazes me
Talk about an example of excess combined with foolishness. I have records handed down to me from the 40s thru the 70s and I clean them the exact same way I clean my newer and brand new records. All the supplies cost me $8 and can last for months.
