Bovidix 0681214 Flare Nut Wrench, Metric - 12 x 14mm

Good spec tolerances for removing O2 sensors without slipping! This one had better specs than a made in USA combination wrench I have. The edges are well rounded that this wrench is comfortable in hand to use. Finish is ok. This one likely came from China and it did the job at an affordable price which was fine for this O2 sensor task.Wasn't able to get the open end wrench into the tight spot but this one fit right in with enough room to make a 1/4 turn. Luckily the sensors had not rusted themselves to the exhaust so it took minimal force to get them loose. Glad too because there are enough stories of rust frozen sensors being a real bother to get loose. Having sockets or wrenches cam out or break along with ruining the flats on the sensor is not fun.

Wrench has Excellent chrome finish, exposure to brake fluids have not adversely affected it. Have used this wrench several times. Fits 12mm & 14mm nuts without play (good tolerances). Heads of wrench are a bit large but has not hindered any brake line job. Seems to be of high quality.

I bought it to install a new brake hose in my car. Being the first time replacing one, I was looking for a tight fit wrench that would avoid any rounding of the nut when loosening it. The flare nut wrench performed as expected. I would recommend this tool to anyone attempting this type of work. Definitively a must have tool for a DIY type of person.

Well made and srong enough to remove an oxygen sensor without much effort....

Used this to get at and loosen EGR fitting that hadn't been off in 20 years...Some Pb blaster and a little mojo ....came right off and was able reuse the fitting on the new manifold...

I really like the way this wrench grips the sides of the hex and not the corners. It worked great removing a stubborn O2 sensor that was partially rounded.
