Grandma's Original Unsulphured Molasses, 12 oz (Pack of 3)

I needed molasses and couldn't find any in my store. This was ridiculously expensive compared to one I always use (but couldn't find). Although it tasted as it should, I would not purchase it again at this cost.

Bought it for a Gingerbread Men recipe. I had never baked with molasses before, didn't know exactly what to expect. The aroma right out of the jar is a bit odd. Not appetizing at all. And after baking with it, cleaning the dishes was a bit of a chore because of how sticky it was. I at first was not impressed. However, my ginger bread men came out to be wonderful. Nice structurally and very tasty. Easy to cut with cookie cutters and easy to roll out. The baking times were exact as well. I am very pleased with how my cookies came out and it was probably all due to the molasses.

This is the magic ingredient to my ginger cookies, and ginger cake.

I am not sure why it is difficult to find molasses in Hawaii, but it is. The least expensive local source was about $2 a bottle more expensive than buying through Amazon. This product is reliably fresh, good tasting, and consistent.
