First let me say I really love a lot about this knife. Blade came razor sharp, perfect centering, great handle and blade material. The reason I have to give it 3 stars is the detent sticking. I'm a large guy and I barely can overcome the detent to flip the blade out. I tried to contact Kubey about the issue as it unfortunately leaves the knife nearly unusable. I had read reviews that praised their customer service but they have not made a effort to contact me about the problem. I have bought several Kubey knives and loved them but it appears that their QC may be all over the place.

A knife with high quality D2 steel, razor sharp straight out of the box, and a silky smooth action for the price of a throw away knife? I have yet to find another pocket knife built this well with quality steel for anywhere close to the price of this knife. The only way I could see myself telling someone to not buy this knife is if they required a pocket clip that isn’t tip up or carry in the left pocket. Phenomenal knife that has a budget price with high end performance

Rough knife... hard to open.

I really wanted to love this knife.The action was nice and smooth. The blade was razor sharp and sturdy. I'm not a huge fan of the G10, and the squared profile wasn't the most ergonomic, but it was a nice, solid knife.That had one flaw I didn't want to deal with for an EDC.There's part of the frame lock that protrudes from the frame by the index finger. It makes for easy closing, but a little too much.If I put ANY lateral pressure on the tab with my index finger, like you would if you were whittling, the frame lock disengaged, and the blade was loose. Same thing if I gripped the handle hard. Like if I was actually trying to cut something.Other people with a different hand size or grip might not run into this, but as much as I liked the knife, I didn't want to deal with the blade going limp on me while I'm using it.The choil prevents the blade from closing on your fingers, and it stops at that "3/4 cocked" detent, so I don't think it would be a safety issue, just a really annoying quirk.The blade was "shave arm hair" sharp. The action was great. It was well built and felt nice and sturdy. I feel bad giving a negative review, but the blade releases...If they trim down that tab, and round off those edges a bit, it would be a nice EDC.
