Each width differs in the number of rows of dots: 3/8" - 1 row, 5/8" - 2 rows, 7/8" - 2 rows, 1 1/2" - 3 rows.

I ordered this ribbon, because I could not find it in the stores. It came fairly quickly and I really have no complaints. I did not have to contact customer services - so I can't answer any questions about that. I was happy with my purchase and supplier. I would recommend them, if you can't find a particular ribbon style or color. they have a big selection.
