I had to find a replacement product when the zeolite granules I normally use were out of stock (marineland clinoptilite zeolite). Glad I found this one! It comes in a slightly bigger bag than that jar was, is a slightly better deal, and works just the same! I sprinkle a little in each corner of my ferrets' litter boxes, then add fresh litter on top of it. It takes the edge off the ammonia. It can be dusty when moving larger amounts from one container to another, so I do that outside to avoid breathing too much of it.

My plants love it.

The climate where I live is too hot in the summer to use this as bonsai soil. I need soil that holds more moisture in the hot months. It provides excellent drainage. It would be a good additive in a very rainy climate because it holds no moisture at all, less than lava gravel as a comparison. The pieces are uniform in size and clean of dust and small particles. For bonsai soil, I think pumice and lava gravel are better and more economical options, but this product will make an effective ingredient, if you need it.

I used to use baking soda, but this stuff is great! I sprinkle it in the Pottyboxes when I add litter. Sprinkle it on the rugs before vacuuming when they’re stinky, and it works great. I Love that it’s safe around pets and children. I live with 4 cats, and almost everybody that comes into my home comments on how nice it smells.

The 4 x 8 granular size is perfect for DIY Pon or semi-hydroponic media. The largest size I’ve found. Just wish they made it in bigger bags!

Based on other reviews, I decided to try this product to help with absorption and odor control in my cat's litter box. I am not convinced yet that it makes much of a difference. I will continue to use it for a while until I am convinced it works -- or not. It does, however, add a significant amount of dust to the litter box room. I use a fairly high quality litter, which may be why I can't tell that this product makes a difference.

I haven’t used it yet, waiting to do the spring plantings.
