Freshness.
I am a Southern woman who knows when a pecan is good or bad...these were bad. This is my first time to order pecans thru Amazon. I usually order Texas pecans thru a company in Texas, but to save $$$ I didn't this time. I have to say I didn’t expect this. These pecans were not fresh, 2018-2019 as stated. They arrived shrink wrapped, were darker in color than fresh pecans, and dry...they had no oily feel or taste. If these are truly 2018-2019 pecans then I feel the wrapping and storage caused drying. I am sad because because at the same time I ordered mine, I also placed an order for my sister in North Carolina. She too knows a good pecan. We both have repacked them for freezing and will not attempt return. Hopefully roasting or using in baking will bring out some familiar taste. Using them for salads or munching (which we both do) is not appetizing.

Pretty Bad Pecans
I have bought many pecans online. I bought these primarily because they were an Amazon's Choice. First time I have really felt left down by Amazon. These cannot be 2019-2020 crop. They are dark, dry and withered. Although I used only "Pretty Bad Pecans" I was being generous. These are the worst pecans I have ever purchased and thus are overpriced. Amazon's Choice for what? Try another provider first. Oh and the picture is not just a random sampling.

If you are to sell great tasting and fresh pecans, then get great tasting and fresh pecans.
There is absolutely nothing I like about these pecans. Did you say fresh in sales pitch? I'm sure they were fresh way back in 2015. These pecans are old, discolored and couldn't taste any worse. The picture displayed on your site certainly doesn't look anywhere close to the pecans I received this afternoon. I tried about 2-dozen, hoping to find some better tasting ones, but no luck. Please credit my account for the amount I paid for these pecans. If you are going to sell a so-called great tasting, fresh pecan, you might want to line up a pecan which is indeed great tasting and fresh. Please send your driver by to pick-up these old pecans you sent my.Michael J. MaloneOctober 4, 2019

No longer vacuum packed, lesser quality than earlier purchases.
My first order ( 1 year ago) was good but continued orders not so. First order was vacuumed in thick blue bag and they were exceptional. This last box was in flimsy plastic and not vacuum packed. There is also a lot of extra loose pieces and small dust from the process. Will not buy again unless La Nogalera reaches out to me for compensation.

Third time was not the charm.....
This was my third order. The first order was great. Second was almost as good. The order I received this week was not in same league. The wife says they are gummy. More halves poorly formed ......not likely to order again until new crop is in.

Product Not Consistent Fir
First bag was a five star so I ordered again. Second bag was not vacuum sealed and the color of the pecans has faded, letting me know that they are old. There are also lots of crumbs all over them. First bag was dark in color and no crumbs. Amazon won't let me return them so I am stuck with 5lbs. bad pecans.

Great tasting Pecans
Liked that it came in bulk amount: 5 lbs. it was vacuumed sealed so as soon as you broke the seal the pecans were ready to use. I bake a lot and my family eats pecans just natural. Good fats and nutrition for you. It takes us quite awhile to eat them all. Didn’t like: pecans are expensive anywhere, but these fell into similar pricing if you bought at Whole Foods or Sprouts. The pecans tasted great, fresh and clean looking. Not dark or rancid. Just perfect. I say get them if possible. The shipping took awhile but because of this pandemic situation be patient.

Fresh but inconsistent size
These are good pecans, but not great pecans. The vacuum seal does preserve freshness. They are fine for baking, but disappointing for a raw snack or for roasting. They are smaller than I expected and inconsistent in size. I’m accustomed to consistently large, plump pecans that really deliver on flavor, which are sold by a retailer in Alabama; however those pecans do cost significantly more. I think I’ll opt for quality over cost from now on.
