Holds unholdable hair!
I have fine, medium density, slightly wavy hair that's about 3" past my shoulders. I've tried many different styles of clips, bobby pins, and barrettes over the years. All usually slide out or become loose within the first few hours. These barrettes grab onto my hair without aid of styling products and stay in place all day! I mainly use them to pull up the sides of my hair to get it out of my face for working on projects. Sometimes I use them in collaboration with an up-do to prevent hair from escaping the style. The mechanism is user-friendly and reminds me of barrettes my poor mother tried to put in my hair decades ago. Those would fall right out of my hair while remaining closed and sometimes rip out a few hairs on the way out. The covered spring on these barrettes both protects and grips my slippery hair. To use them, I open the barrette, slide the bottom portion upwards to gather the hair I wish to tame, and then push the upper portion closed. I have occasionally "missed" while closing the barrette and caused the mechanism to catch unevenly, but it still holds! The only difficulty when this happens is removing the barrette, which means I have to squeeze the latch a bit more firmly to release it. To prevent this issue-- which is strictly user error-- I guide the upper portion with my thumb on one side, my forefinger on the top, and middle finger on the other side then push down towards my scalp until I feel the latch connect. I wish I'd had these years ago because it would have saved me a lot of frustration! They're well made and durable and I love the simple look of them. I also only need one hand to put them in my hair, which is helpful when I'm trying to multitask.

Great quality
I have very thin hair and these barrettes are perfect. They are high quality with nice rubber lining that keeps it in place.

One time use!
These clips are super cute when you first open them! The design on them is a super pretty gold kind of marbling. While they were smaller than I expected, I was accepting of it because of just how pretty they are. And then I put one in my hair... The pretty blue barrette immediate came off of the metal clip and broke into two separate pieces. I thought "no big deal, there's a second and I only need one". The next one I got into my hair without it breaking, and that's about it. The clip was secure because it locked and it did not want to come apart. I was panicking and had to break it just to get it out. They clip was beautiful, but not worth the money or hassle of it's use. Especially since I ended up with two broken barrettes in the span of 5 minutes.

Ok
These are nice little hair brats. Only thing is they don't hold much hair.1 of them came apart and I have trouble getting it back together The other 1 was just fine.

Not a fan
I've been letting my bangs grow out during the pandemic and have resorted to barrettes to pull my hair out of my eyes. I'm not sure how stylish that look is in the first place, but I absolutely cannot leave the house wearing these. In addition to the slippage (disappointing, but not unexpected, since I have fine hair), the parts of the parts that actually touch in order to hold hair in the place are too narrow when compared to the top of the barrette, leaving me with a weird loose-secure-loose "shape" of hair within the clip -- kind of this: ---__---. The looser hairs fall out gradually. In addition, my hair gets caught in the hinge (ouch), the clasp can be fastened incorrectly, requiring a LOT of pressure and finagling to open it, and they just have a cheap feel overall. I'll keep them while I continue my search because they do manage (with constant repositioning) keep the hair out of my eyes. Happily, I don't have to video-conference.

Not too big or not too small!
I have lost a lot of hair over the years and had only 1 clip left from when my girls were young. The clip was OK but slipped out too often. I searched Amazon and came across these. They are larger than my old one but they have a rubberized strip that holds onto the hair and it stays in place. I think the price is a bit high, but now that I've tried them, it turned out to be a good purchase.

Poor quality
Very poor quality - hard to get it clasped, and the clasp broke after a few uses

Great for Fine Hair!
I bought these blue barrettes that are veined in gold. They are beautiful. They have a rubber type sleeve to keep them placed in the hair.

Really disappointed as I thought this was finally a quality hair Barnette. In less than one day, the first clip has already broken. The clasp isn’t very strong at all and I have baby done hair. I purchased the smaller size, it was half an inch longer than advertised (the measurement they gave was for the metal clip and not the full decorative part). It’s a very long Barnette for the small amount of hair it can hold. It’s also not black. In the sunlight, it looks burgundy. Happy to report that Amazon gave me a full refund with no problems.

Malheureusement les barrettes ne sont pas conçus pour des cheveux épais ! C est dommage car produit de bonne qualité ! Et il aurait parfait pour mon besoin antidérapant! Dommage
